Aesthetic Relic 301
He seems to be doing ok at W.Bremen. 7 goals in 10 games....wtf is all that about ? He could score in a whore house while with us. Can you see him being brought back after his loan?
Kez 2,727
Its always the way with most strikers we've bought! I don't think we'll bring him back he had a shit year last season & Anelka's doing the business now maybe he's made for the german league Edited November 17, 2008 by Kez
Aesthetic Relic 301
A lot of players seem to find it hard to adjust to the pace of the game in the EPL. Its all guns blazing from the off. The other european leagues seem to be more slower in pace. Look at Gomes for Spurs, he was a class keeper for PSV, he looks out of his depth in the Premiership. Funny as fuck though "KEEPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERS........Oh ffs".
terry26 6
esp that first goal on sat i was thinking along the same line as Kez - maybe he was made for the Bundesliga
BlueLion. 21,491
Well it would be foolish not to bring him back after his little run of form, but I doubt he'll do much. He just needs a good run in the side, like Anelka, and he'll bang them away - its the same for 90% of strikers.
Akemisu 0
He always seemed to me to play better as a supporting striker in a 4 - 4 - 2 rather than a lone role. I may be wrong though.
Elliott 7
I think that's what suits him. He hasn't got the strength or the work rate to play alone, but he has got a bit of guile to play that supporting role. I remember feeling that we lost at the Emirates last season because we tried to play Sheva up on his own instead of supporting him with Pizarro. Reckon we would've scored if we had done that. Laylabelle 9,536
Always the case though, loan or sale.Dont perform here,go elsewhere and volia Gomes is full of tricks lol.OG and knocking out his own player.Thought Robisnon was bad with his jumping the ball over the line trick but lol
diskoviolente 425
Pizarro is defniatly made for the Bundesliga, and not for the EPL. He is good in Werder, just because the team is shit. Playing in 4-4-2 he gets his goals, but not as a lone striker. For Chelsea he was very poor....don´t get him back.
carefreeluke 27
Not really gaven much of a chance for me. Deserved another season..... He been loaned out to Werder Bremen he might as well stay there now though. He's getting on a bit and id rather see someone like Di Santo given a chance.... I'm sure people were saying that of Dimitar Berbatov when he first came to the PL... then look what happened.
diskoviolente 425
but Berbatov is a different kind of player obviously he scores and give assists, but he struggles also... in Manunited, also different concerning Spurs he has this special moments, but is not a striker like Torres and Drogba back in the days, these are made for the EPL.... BlueLion. 21,491
I don't think you can be 'made' for a certain type of league. Players like Shevchenko and Pizarro have simply spent such long periods of time in foreign leagues that it becomes second nature to them, and a new league is a massive challenge. diskoviolente 425
well, not every player coming to the EPL has physical strength, some kinda pace but you are right, even the opposite might be able to play in England, like Zola... but you can see that there is some kind of "average player" concerning hight, physical ability and stuff i´d say
