The groundsman was clearly seen lunging at Evra and was caught on CCTV, the reason theyre charging Chelsea is because they apparently cant even get the basics of a groundsmans contract right - in other words theyve brought it on themselves again. Tbh I think its bloody embarrassing that as one of the top four clubs - and a club wanting to be one of the best in the world - they operate like some bloody cowboy outfit.

As for Evra, he was every bit as guilty and is being dealt with by the FA directly (as opposed to United being charged) because he does have a legitimate contract.

The FA would have dealt with Bethell directly, the same as they will Evra, but because Chelsea cocked up his contract - missing out the bit where it should say the FA have disciplinary jurisdiction over him - the FA can't touch him, therefore their only option is to hold Chelsea responsible for his conduct. They couldn't exactly charge Evra and let Bethell walk away scot free when they were both clearly seen attacking each other.
