Chelsea Vs Tottenham

Failed to create a single chance? Did you not see Spurs had 10 players behind the ball at all times? Trying to score a goal with so many players defending is like trying to hit a fly with a bazooka. And to the contrary, we actually created a lot of chances. Anelka had that shot in the first half he should have scored from, Lampard had four or five shots, two of which were decent enough to worry the goalkeeper. Essien dented the crossbar and from the resulting corner we scored a goal. We were much more limited in the second half because everything we did was cancelled out by Spurs. Ultimately very disappointing.

I have to disagree with you, I saw many uncompleted passes, we lost the ball too easily, some players were too slow, ... The opening match seems very far away now...

As did I, and I too am very frustrated. However the way some people are saying stuff, implies we played as badly as Hull did yesterday against Wigan! Yes, it was difficult at times, but that was because Spurs defended excellently in the second half and our chances were limited. However it is early in the season and Manchester City, I suspect, are going to feel the full force of the Scolari backlash.

Our attacking players were shite today, tbh.

We had attacking players on the pitch??? They couldn't finish their dinner ffs. Plenty of huffing and puffing, no end product. Second half we looked way too dis-jointed. I have no idea what he said to them at half-time but whatever it was, it didnt work.

Well it was obvious that something was gonna go wrong today (as i mentioned a few times previous lol), the yids played some decent stuff at times and tbh our passing was bollocks. The amount of missplaced passes was incredible. Essien, Deco, Anelka and joe cole had off games, Malouda is a waste of sperm and we didnt get the rub of the green either really. Can't win em all but definitely should be playing better than the 2nd half showing. Least we kept the home record, they opened us up a few times too. Belletti and Lamps were good, ash was good too but the rest......well they were under par.Bosingwa was crap too but this is just a bad game. Man Utd had theirs against newcastle, Arsenal had theirs against Fulham and Liverpool will have theirs today. It'll get better dont worry about it.

From the last two games at least, I can see Scolari meaning bad news for Essien. Essien just didn't fit in as the defensive midfielder and today he was completely innefective apart from one move (which I can remember at least). There is no doubt in my mind that Essien is the best midfielder in the world, but if he can't fit into this system, he might be surplus to requirements.

I think a player of Michael Essien's quality will fit into any team, mate. Its just one game were the result isn't what we were hoping for. We have an international break now and hopefully we can come back and take all three points against City.

Liverpool are currently 0-0 with Villa at the moment and face United after the international break. A couple of draws in those two games would help us sincerely.

Yet the performance of today gives me worries for the future. Dropping points again at home when you are totaly able to beat your opponent ? Damned, I don't want getting the same frustrations like last season

To be fair I couldnt see Shaun starting today so..just better now score agains us lol

Why not??? with pace like his rather than Florent "the snail" Malouda's he would have left Gareth Bale for dead!! Put a few crosses into the box, get Anelka's head on them, cause Spurs some problems.

Sorry, but selling Wright-Phillips was a bad idea!!
