Fulham Broadway 17,311
Stuttgart coach Armin Veh has revealed the Bundesliga club have agreed personal terms with Chelsea defender Khalid Boulahrouz. The 26-year-old, whose stock rose considerably following his performances in Holland's Euro 2008 campaign, is expected to cost in the region of five million euros. "He is just the man we were lacking," Veh told the Bild newspaper. "He is one who is not scared of getting involved when needed." After two disappointing seasons with Chelsea and Sevilla, Boulahrouz should welcome a move back to Germany, where he enjoyed two productive seasons with Hamburg before making his 13 million euro move to the Blues in 2006. Elliott 7
For a while Khalid looked great but it just didn't work out for him. I wish him luck in Germany.
bombayblue™ 55
all the best.. a league he made his name in, he'd fit right in..
EskWeston 696
He could probably have adapted better given more time, but since he left on loan our defence has vastly improved and we no longer have any room for him. Wish him all the best but or us it is just a case of more dead wood moved on.
bombayblue™ 55
Sky saying we sold him for 3.9million pounds.. i'd thought he'd go for atleast 5mill as sidwell, after a not so bad Euro..

Nah, the fact that he hasn't been involved with any training or at all with the club and basically floating around waiting for a club to pick him up means that someone was always going to get a bargain. The bottom line is we have a player we don't want off our wage bill and, the player has got a permanant move.
BlueLion. 21,491
£3.9 million is a decent return, we weren't going to get much else for him anyway. Thats £9 million we've made out of surplus players, and recovers what we spent on Deco.

EskWeston 696
Chelsea Football Club has agreed a fee for the transfer of Khalid Boulahrouz to VfB Stuttgart in Germany. We would like to thank Khalid for his contribution while he was at Chelsea FC and we would like to wish him luck at his new club. misschief 24
We paid 13million euros for him and get less than 4 back? We really need to stop throwing money away on players like this.
