The Conte Thread

Conte? It depends on which aspects, IMO, because they are both very similar.

For all Jose's faults one thing I'll always give him is that he stayed commited to the job until the end. Yes he was unhappy he didn't get his players in, yes he let that be known in passive aggressive ways and ofcourse his man management was misguided at best, but I do believe underneath that all he did desperately want to turn things around.

Conte on the other hand is a ticking time bomb, he became uncontactable for two weeks in the summer of 2017 and then jacked it in after the January transfer window which cost us top four which also indirectly kicked off Liverpool's dominance. The only reason we as fans didn't feel the full brunt of his actions was because he couldn't speak English to a very expressive level, if he did I dread to think how bad his behaviour would have been.

Yea he moans but he probably moans for a reason. He is clearly a top manager. He gets results wether you like him or not.

Exactly, he doesnt moan cuz he likes it, he is fully grown ass man and knows what he wants and is a winner to boot. He instantly transformed them, that much cant be disputed.

Then why's he moaning now? He's been given 17 players (most recent one being a world class wingback that's tailor made for his system) in a year at a cost of €200m (€270 if he takes up his options to buy) which is an unprecedented level of spending for an Italian team not named Juve.

He's had his every wish catered for at Inter and he's still acting like a juvenile teenager.

Saying Conte likes to moan because he is a winner, knows he wants etc is silly. Does that mean the likes of Klopp, Guardiola are not winners because they do not moan?

You dont know what has happened behind the scenes. So he has bought for 200M, but he has also made them come second, instantly made an impact. YEs he might moan but also delivers.

He is a very emotional manager, he is upfront and vocal. Im not saying he is moaning cuz he is a winner, just that he may have his reasons.

Hard to disagree but still both very similar. In Mourinho's case, he might have been desperate to turn things around but when his methods of doing that were basically repeating the same things, then it's like 'What's the point?'. Plus, his passive aggressive ways and man management were (and still?) arguably the most dominant factor in causing the bad slump because if the players do not respond to what you say anymore, then you're in big trouble.

Reasons? What reasons does he have to be moaning almost every week? He's been backed to the hill by Inter with the transfers and yet, he is still moaning. If he's unhappy with the board, go speak with them behind closed doors and if he's still unhappy, then just quit. Constantly throwing his toys out of the pram like a baby in the public just makes him look bad and is not going to help his future job prospects at a big club.

Well given his grievances at Juve and Chelsea were apparently signing players he didn't want (even though he's wants to reunite with the final two signings made in his tenure here) what's he got to be so outraged about? He's practically playing supermarket sweep at Inter, got the striker he loves, got Alexis 3rd time of asking, got Godin, got the best attainable wingback etc al.

Yeah I can agree with that one, sometimes he needs to keep it in-house

Inter may have been happy to finish 2nd but Conte himself doesn't care about 2nd. He only wants 1st. Otherwise, he'll just moan. He's basically a short term manager.

Thats true but this is Inter, not a very good squad to start with, he was backed and delivered imo. He has revitalised them, If he could just not be so vocal all the time he would rule Italy. Class manager.

Well as I said he is a born winner and he will do all to reach it. SOmetimes to his own detriment.
