the wes 7,212
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-35262190 Chelsea Football Club's wage bill shot up £25m in the year to 30 June 2015, its latest Companies House filing shows. It means Chelsea's wage bill was the highest of all the Premier League clubs at £215.6m, compared with £190m a year earlier. Manchester United came second with a £203m wage bill, Manchester City third on £193.8m and Arsenal fourth on £192m. Chelsea won the Premier League title and the League Cup in 2015. The bill does not split out the amount spent on player wages from backroom and ground staff.

Special Juan 28,141
wes- Can you at least put a bit more content into the opening post please? A link is fine but you could also copy and paste the write up into the first post. That way people are more likely to post debate about it, where as they would click the link, read it and then leave without posting. Cheers. ZanSnake 1,211
This is the shit that needs to be sorted. Big fat bonuses for winning the title ontop of their massive weekly wage. Need to be more careful to this. More youth on lower wages - as you would expect - instead of dead-weight as squad members.

I was thinking that, wouldn't bonuses from winning the PL be factored or mentioned here?
robsblubot 3,595
Bonuses are usually not factored in wages. In fact, the most known players have other deals on the side which are also not in it. Wages are the base salary the player gets from the club. We do have squad players in the 75K a week, so hardly surprising.

Just what is he doing here. Why is he still here. Mourinho did a favour for Jorge Mendes (super agent) by signing Falcao on loan for the season. He's still here because no other European club is stupid enough to pay his wages

Also bonus was allegedly included

I think Man Utd. did last year, but I think that Monaco are covering a large %. Just looked it up, and he took a 50% pay cut to join. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/588785/Manchester-United-flop-Radamel-Falcao-wage-cut-secure-Chelsea-move Still overpaid.
