What I mean to say is that we would come good to have a backup TOP our team as backup of Diego Costa.

I believe that at certain times of the season of Diego Costa has had some moments of lower yields on all against teams which leave little space to us.

Perhaps of Diego would improve performance if he feels the pressure of another great center-striker. If you have no one metiendole pressure, of Diego can feel in a very accommodated position. Whatever happens, of Diego has to play because it's our best center-striker unrivaled in that position.

So to feed the competition / rivalry between our players can only generate more Competition competitiveness our team, and finally it generates meritocracy ... Just play who is giving a spectacular performance.

I think ideal solution would be Radamel Falcao, But I accept any opinion of any member of the forum, and I fully I trust on the decision of Jose.

I trust much in of Diego Costa, but if a player feels formed too pleased about not having opponent, that player can lower your performance.

Dude, I remember you this summer as being the main guy on this forum telling everyone we needed to sign Falcao. Some including me told you that his wages were to high and his loan fee was outrageous, and that he wasn't the same Falcao as in his Atleti days and you even got angry with me and others when we said these things.

If by saying "glad we dodged this bullet" you mean you didn't see the bullet coming and are glad you dodged it, you've seen the light I'm happy you did. If you however mean "no wonder no one was interested in him" as "it was so obvious he was going to flop" then I'm sorry for you but you've completely did a 180 to how you thought just a few months ago or so...

Totally agree. Now also I would not sign Falcao, much less for that amount of money. But I do not speak of a signing by a trapaso, I mean a loan with option (which would NOT be mandatory ejecutacion) purchase (as is now Manchester United).

But reports say that Monaco wants to give him back on loan with a loan from a season and a half (2014-2015 and 2015-2016) and Falcao are probably going to have to lower your soil of £ 14 million (€ 18.34 million) to an amount of around £ 8 million (€ 10.5 million) for its loss of value, because if he does not do this, probably Monaco not let him back with them.

But I think a player like Destro would die being a backup of Diego Costa. Destro and other young players. To compete with Diego Costa is very difficult and needs; much experience and self-confidence.

Costa/Remy/Bamfordinho should be good enough for next season imo. Remy has been more impressive than Falcao this season and he's already our player, so can't see us wasting money on Falcao, even if it would be a loan.

He did well to compensate his lack of technical ability with his pace, power, finishing etc but you don't go from having great technical ability to being unable to trap a bag of cement, you just don't.

Yes, it is more than possible for that to happen. I'd like to see you do the same tricks and flicks with a ball after tearing your cruciate ligaments. Technical ability degrades just like everything else, especially when changes to the body occur.

You make a good point in saying that Costa would stifle Destro's development. But would having Falcao not also be detrimental? We saw how desperate Abramovich was to see Torres actually at least break even in terms of goals-to-transfer fee, but he never got to that level, because he had lost the yard of pace necessary to operate in this league as the striker he is; an on-the-shoulder-of-the-last-man forward. Costa has a different skills set which is more suited. From what I've seen of Falcao in this league, he, like Torres, hasn't got the pace to play his natural game here. It might work in Spain where the higher defensive line leaves yards of space to run into, but not here.

And you don't have to be apologetic that we are having a debate, if everyone had the same opinions then the world would be boring.

No, it was just a desire of mine. So far only speak reports that Manchester could break his loan agreement with Monaco in the January or the summer market, and already speak (reports) of a possible interest of Real Madrid and PSG.

But so far no one has linked Falcao and Chelsea.

Upgrade. Today reports also speak of a possible interest from Liverpool and Manchester City. But they seem just speculation.

Another upgrade. Even yesterday Jose told that we had refused to sign Radamel Falcao and Angel Di Maria for us in summer market to enforce the rules of the Financial Fair Play.
