Radamel Falcao

Well that means we can give Lukaku a chance in our own team rather than loaning him out. Also our midfielders are scoring enough goals to win us the games so just sell Torres and promote Feruz to the bench and give him some match time as well. We already have the Predator Ba waiting for opportunities so buying a striker who would cost less but and the urge to develop and prove himself in the Premier League would be a better option.

Wow I need people to post that watch this guy week in week out, admittedly Ive only done so this season bar a few games due to me messing up my times but I posted this elsewhere too, we buy players that are good at X and Y, yet chelsea strikers are expected to do Z.. What do I mean? We tend to buy players that are good at something then expect them to play differently to what made them good/great..

Falcao doesn't bring enough to the team, 'yes we will change our style' ok that's fine but I'm judging it on our current squad plus loanees and he still doesn't fit the way we play..

^ agreed. I think Cavani's style of play would be more suited to us. Both are relatively decent at holding the ball up, but the Napoli system is based around counter-attacking and with our playmakers that is the most-similar style to the way that we operate.

The amount of penalty goals he scores is incredible i hardly see him scoring goals from 1v1 positions(except for his goal against barca and in the super cup and thats about it) its either penalty, tap in or header(he is very good at heading though).

And the penalty-box-poacher is exactly what we need.

How many times has a cross been fizzed in, and Torres has been sorting his hair out on the half-way line? How many times have shots rebounded off the the keeper, or off defenders, only for no-one to be following up? A poacher in the van Nistelrooy mould is what we desperately need.

But you are doing him a disservice. His hold-up play is superb and outside the area he is as visionary as any forward I have seen. If he isn't scoring, he is creating. He has a special ability to play delicate chipped through-balls into onrushing midfielders, which would really work well with the likes of Hazard or Mata bursting through. His strength is also considerable despite his relatively short stature.

I'm not sure what Radamel Falcao you have been watching but you couldn't be further from the truth.

I disagree we need a forward with good skills somebody like cavani or lewandowski.I have watched atleast 15 games of falcao this season and not once i have comeback impressed by his play outside the box.Dont think i have watched falcao creating much for other players as well.If he aint scoring then imo he is not much use of to the team.

  • 2 weeks later...

He wants €290,000-a-week which is around £250,000.... if we get rid of Torres, who is paid £175,000 a week we can afford that and then some !

#SignFalcao

What? :o 250k? And you want the club to pay such obscene amount of money to a single player?

I ll be happy with Lukaku next year if this is the case.

#Nosignfalcao :P
