Perhaps its because he's disinterested in the French League... I mean when the average attendance at your home stadium is 10-15 thousand in a stadium that has little to no atmosphere, its kinda draining. Besides look at him for Colombia ! He's a beast

Average attendance is 8k :clown:

A small stadium, Monaco is the paradise of the very rich people. Most of them may not be interested to see many French league games. After all, Monaco was in 2nd league last year. This year, 3rd in the standing now.

What kind of bush league is it if Monaco suddenly is at the top ?

Ok big woop hes scoring goals for his national team..... Torres has won 3 top goal scorer awards for his national team at different competitions still doesn't mean hes worth 50 million.

If he was a beast he'd have scored close to 10 or 15 goals already for Monaco. If you can't score a lot of goals in probably the second or third best team in France (with such a creative player like James Rodriguez in your team) where the league lets be honest isn't very competitive who would spend 52 million on you? Nobody.

He has 9 goals in 13 appearances - that's a pretty good record,

Still we should have gone for Cavani in the summer since he is a superior footballer

He has 9 goals in 13 games dude, what are you talking about?

Monaco are in a big squad formatiom period, they just started buying good players (having off-loaded 12 of them) and they were in the Ligue 2 last season. Even if they have bough great players like Joao Moutinho and Jaimes Rodriguez, they arent half of the team Atletico Madrid is, which counts a lot for Falcao's lack of goals.

And even then, he is the third top scorer in Ligue 1!

Actually he's the joint-top scorer together with Cavani, both have 9 league goals so far. Zlatan and some other dude behind them with 8 each.

Oh, for some reason I thought Ibra and Cavani were the joint-top scorer and Falcao was right behind! Thanks...

But it only adds to my argument: Falcao is in a much worse team and still has great numbers! (excellent really)

No, he is not worth Torres + £52 million, but who is?

While it's unquestionable that Falcao has a great goalscoring record, I doubt though that his style of play suits what Mourinho wants from his strikers. And that is being all rounder type of striker or at least close to it, especially for the kind of squad we have where the goals do not just come from the strikers.

Forget this overpriced 29 years old, should go for Suarez/Diego Costa/Cavani(if he is some how unhappy with his role at PSG)

He's 27 firstly and we're willing to pay £52m. Only 2million more than what we paid an off form Fernando Torres. If that puts things into perspective for you
