The delusion is strong in this one.

wtf how is it delusion. atletico dont create many chances its as simple as that. falcao does a decent job for them but would score more in a more creative team. if you think thats delusion you might want to go see a doctor.

Refer to Spike's post and you will hopefully see your delusion.

Anything over 30 million and Alteti have ripped us off. If Courtois goes to, then what a rip off the lad will be, unless he justifies hes worth 30 million plus the best young keeper in the world which I doubt any striker could do tbh.

And people say he scores from nothing, creates his own chances etc. Now the heat is Atleti for not being creative enough.

it's like Torres all over again

starting to lose form before joining us, people saying he will perform better once he joins us

don't want him anywhere near us

Lol, people now saying he is the new Torres! :lol2:

This.

This.

And yes, indeed. Torres all over again.

I understand where they are coming from. But I agree that the comparison is all sorts of ridiculous. Torres completely degenerated as a player. Falcao is just going through a tough patch.

It is one thing to doubt Falcao's ability or to say he wont be successful in Chelsea or any other club. But to compare him with Torres?? I

mean, really???

I think Falcao will end up going for 35-40mi pounds and not the staggering 53mi that was rumored in January. Basically because the hype is gone and not many clubs want him (neither ManCity nor PSG seem likely to make a move) and the rest of the world just wont pay or dont need him. If that indeed happens, it will be a good deal in today's football economy!

He is capable of scoring 30 goals a season (all competitions). With that, he will create more space to our other attacking players and put pressure of Lukaku in the future!

He's still a world class striker. Cavani has been on a goal drought recently but I'd still take him in a heartbeat aswell. Lukaku has certainly given himself a platform to play next year but I feel Chelsea really need an established marquee signing in the squad. What better area to improve on than in our striking department? We need a balanced squad, and with Hazard and Oscar both spending a season at Chelsea and Mata 2, an established striker like Falcao, even in a debut season, it honestly looks a devastating combination.

Lewandowski is 23 and is also a great option but if Bayern come knocking, apart from not wanting to upset Dortmund's fans, they can offer him more than us in most departments. Of course I don't want us spending millions on one player but sometimes you have to take risks. Look at Fergie with RVP (a somewhat risk). Bar one immense season he brought a striker that was injured for his whole Arsenal career and was verging on his 30s. It's little exaggeration when people say United effectively bought the league for 24mill. They've had some great performances from Carrick and co. just being generally consistent in their results, but RVP carried them early on.

Fact is anything is and upgrade from Torres so why not go for a premium upgrade. I don't buy the notion that he's washing up. Later on in this season RVP went through a drought, Cavani's been through one and even the greatest player in the world has been on a quasi-drought :D. It's getting up and scoring after a drought that separates yourself from the rest.

At the end of the day Mourinho's had the firsthand opportunity to watch Falcao in la liga and if he wants him in the squad, I'm just going to trust it. Some people might not want him here but I doubt anyone will be upset if he does indeed arrive. Hopefully the zealous will be justified this time.

i never thought he can score from nothing like suarez can. atletico draw so many games 0-0. they dont create many chances its as simple as that. yesterday i watched the game and the commentator said something like "he has been starved of any service tonight"

he is a good predator who can poach allot of goals but does need something to work with. atletico are very lethargic - just a solid team.

i dont even want him for 45m anyway

if he played for a team like valencia he would score plenty more. watch how bad aletico play and you will see.

HAHAHAH

People are actually comparing Falcao with Torres?

Jesus christ some people need a reality check.

You do realise its well within all logical reason to be able to compare any to subjects or objects?

Comparing might have been the wrong word of choice. my point is that just because (if) Falcao would cost as much or close to Torres, it has nothing to do with how well he will perform.

Falcao isnt anything like Torres. Torres is weak both physically and mentally. He hasnt got that edge anymore. Falcao does. And its not really about the service always, even if the service from mazacar would be alot better than what he gets in Athletico now, Falcao is a worldclass top striker. That fact wont change.
