How was that a joke? You sounded serious.

You putting today's Falcao on a better level than Remy is downright stupid. Remy, the super sub that scored VITAL goals for us to win the title last season and you are slagging him off, saying today's Falcao would do better. What planet are you on. ATM Falcao is gone and I don't see it coming back. I would like to be proven wrong but he is 29 so the chances of that are slim.

Remy going will be a disaster for the club if we bring in £175 grand a week Falcao who is more likely to struggle getting his feet off the ground.

He will be sitting on the bench for most periods since Costa is our main man. How is he going to get his ATM form back if he keeps sitting on the bench?

Take off those fanboy glasses.

"so falcao's already helping the club? i am fine with that.

and since we are using awesome theories, i think by december falcao will reach his ATM form, kick ass and score 20+ goals, shitting on all the haters."

what part of awesome theories did not you understand.

so the same old same old shit sprouted again? not worth it.

What exactly is the point of that statement then? It's pretty nonsensical. What were you trying to get at?

the point is that if we dont buy a 3rd striker, remy gets to start 20-25 games of a 60 game season. 700 minutes for 7 goals is an awesome return which CAN NOT be extrapolated in the simialr way when talking about 2000 minutes that remy would definitely get if we had no other option.

also, i would like to know who people think should be our 3rd striker? a youth player?bamford/solanke? so they are better than falcoa now?

oh @didierforever, I've agreed with alot if things on my time at talk chelsea but not with falcao...

see, i dont see the problem with this transfer.

even if falcao fails, its just an year. he is not blocking the path to either bamford/solanke in the near future. he does give us the depth required. plus i feel, he will get his form back.

hear hear, I'm happy with the transfer Falcao will be brilliant under Mourinho and us the blues. And LVG at Man Utd is so awful and that's why they are poor he puts players down, Mourinho doesn't he tries to get the best out of you and he will show who's the best manager here.

I understand your point as far as Solanke is concerned. Bamford on the other hand, is playing like he deserves a big chance sooner rather than later. He didn't win Championship Player of the Year for nothing.

If push comes to shove, maybe Bamford will get another loan deal to one of the Premier League clubs, but I'm just as excited to see this guy play as much as I did when Lukaku joined, but he got pushed around the team, and ended up at West Brom and Everton in loan deals, which later became permament.

Now I don't want the same happening to Bamford, which is why I see Falcao being loaned to us as the better option (better yet, not at all). If it was a permanent deal, we would instantly have to say goodbye to Bamford because he'll never get games!

A agree with points all of us are saying but no matter what we say it looks like Falcao is coming. As for him taking over Drogs spot what was his spot? He was picked alot more than Remy unfortunately. I liked Remy, and I was completely wrong for wanting Bony coming instead. But I dont what we are arguing about as far as he goes as its looking like hes not going to be with us. So 2nd striker,3rd striker it doesnt matter. He was a good alternative striker but he wasnt a good RAM was he.

But its leaving us in trouble. I dont think the problem was WE didnt trust Remy I think its more Jose doesnt. And we know that means hes got a taxi waiting.

So IF Falcao passes his physical after the Copa we will more than likely get him. It doesnt make any difference whether hes 2nd or 3rd striker all we want him to do is a decent job when hes playing. We dont have hindsight so wont know how it plays out for awhile.

The thing that I dont understand is why we havent gone for another top striker.

I hear you say - because we are a 1 striker system another top striker will want to play regular. But if I was one I'd look at our last season and fancy my chances (if I didnt have any ongoing injuries) to fight for 1st pick over Costa. I know we got a 1 striker system but we need one thats going to be trusted to take control of a game, to play in Europe against the big boys and we wouldnt worry whether Costa or the new guy was picked. The only position I could honestly say I didnt care which one played last season was the keeper. For every other position we dont really have a top class option.

Other clubs seem to manage having top multiple strikers that fight and push each other to claim the starting place. We should be doing all we can to sign another Costa like player not be looking at hasbeens and wannabes.

130,000/week for Falcao (who MIGHT improve after his recent injury, 2014) while getting rid of J. Mikel Obi @ 120,000/week sounds like some good business but we might as well be looking at an additional striker in the transfer market assuming Bamford is going on-loan and Remy could be exiting.

Why shouldn't we extrapolate from that exactly? And why does it matter so much? So what if Remy wouldn't be able to score 20 goals in 2000 minutes? You and I both know if Loic had that many minutes he'd quite possibly reach 15 goals, which is still a fantastic return for a 2nd choice striker. Falcao played twice as much and only managed 4 goals at United. Your argument is very weak and is based on the premises that Falcao rediscovers his Atletico form and that he's proven to be a great 2nd choice striker (both of which are false).

Falcao has never been 2nd choice before last season and he just did not deliver. How you diminish Loic's return in order to aid your argument is nothing short of stupendous considering that Loic scored many vital goals for us last season to win the title.

You're living in the past. Falcao isn't the Falcao of old and he hasn't proved that he'd be a better 2nd choice than Remy at all. You're being very disrespectful to what Loic achieved here despite his very limited minutes.

All I'm hoping is that his loan doesn't push Remy out because that would be disastrous. We'd lose a versatile, more clinical and better player in the hope that a former superstar regains his form (sound familiar?). Give me Remy over Falcao any day.

Mikel is actually on £70-£80k.

Why does almost every single post of yours come back to Mikel? Some unhealthy obsession you have with him.

I have read the last few pages, and I thought most of it showing more concerned of Remy. If Falcao come, Remy will this, Remy will that.

Jose said Drogba leave, so that we will sign another striker as his replacement. It's seems happened it will be Falcao now. I bet if Jose not interested in Falcao, Jose will find another experienced striker, maybe in Ibra, or someone else. And it never will be Bamford or young strikers at the moment, unfortunately, because you guys should have known it better, no? Jose will aim on CL title as the main target next season, and try to defend the PL also, of course.

So, no matter what happened Jose will need 3 strikers. Falcao come to replace Drogba next season. If Remy choose to leave for whatever reason, then obviously we will buy someone else as his replacement. Someone on the same level with Remy. That is another case, and I don't think it is because of Falcao we're gonna sign imo.

We're not going to find someone on the level of Remy as our 3rd choice striker. Even as a 2nd choice striker, it'll be hard to find someone who truly gives you as much value for your money as Remy does.

To me it's increasingly looking like he's doing his old buddy Jorge Mendes a favour.

both of which are false? so you can guarantee me that no matter what falcao cant be a good 2nd striker or hit good form? well, we will definitely come back to that.

so we can extrapolate? great, then fuck costa and lets make remy our no.1 striker cos he has the better return.

where have i dimished remy's return? where have i said that remy should not be here. why are you trying to put words into my mouth. read what i wrote to choulo or to stats. remy is a MUST for next season, as a 2nd/3rd striker and RW/LW. again, being disrespectful to remy, what exactly are you reading? is it the fact that remy is no better than a 2nd striker or good enough for squad rotation, is thats whats making you hallucinate and put words into other people's mouths?

lololol, another torres comparision.. cos life just is so straight forward. not even going to bother anymore.

bamford is 21, he will be 22 next season, and barely begining his career. lukaku was an idiot who shot himself in the foot. now he can rot in everton's mediocrity. i myself wanted bamford to be a part of the squad but realistically, if costa got injured towards the end of the season, would you be completely satisfied and happy having remy start and only bamford on the bench in a CL semi. i honestly would be shit scared.

bamford still has a long way to go and i hope he gets a good PL loan spell. this is nothing but an year long loan which is way better than buying some one for 25+ million and blocking bamford's path in the long run.
