DYC. 7,542
Ok sorry. Then I remembered him wrongYou weren't wrong. Falcao was never a speedster, but he was very quick the first few metres. Like you said, he would use that to get away from his markers and move in behind defences. Most defenders couldn't keep up with him. Suarez is similar in this. Giroud for example would be world-class if he had that in his locker. Falcao's lost that, and he's not quite as sharp as he used to be. He possessed great athleticism, with his amazing leap and agility. And at 29, I doubt he'll ever get that back. As a football fan, I was amazed when this happened and couldn't help but enjoy his class. But the embarrassment I felt this day... CL winners absolutely destroyed. Thank God it was the Supercup. Can't believe it's already been three years.

Falcao alone could've scored 5 goals. Up there with the worst of games.Edit:
kojak 2
This would be as fantastic signing imo, the man is pure quality. Too many people are judging him on last season which is no guide at all. LVG played completely the wrong system to benefit from his abilities. At Monaco (after his injury) he was superb on many occasions scoring goals that very few others could do. SIGN HIM UP & do it now Jose.
LDN Blue 7,903
There are too many comments on here that show similarities with the justifications/explanations of Torres' decline. Of course, if he comes, he will be given as much support from the fans and players alike but I just don't think we need to make this signing.. 1 step forward, 2 steps back. Of course, if he comes, he will be given as much support from the fans and players alike but I just don't think we need to make this signing.. 1 step forward, 2 steps back. Here's the difference. We have Diego Costa and Remy, two very good strikers who will no doubt play the majority of games if they are fit and performing. When we signed Torres he was bought to be our no.1 and couldn't cope.Torres relied on speed and space to get in behind defenses, when he lost his pace he was pretty much useless. Falcao has never been a speed demon, he's always relied on movement and an unrivalled passion to score goals. (This is where Jose comes in if you ask me) I'm not for a second gonna say that I believe we will have a goalscoring assassin on our hands if we sign Falcao BUT, we are in a position to take a risk on him seeing as we already have our no.1 and 2... Can you imagine what a coup it would be if Falcao actually gets back to 70% of what he was under Jose? Its his confidence that's taken the major hit. If being in our team can slowly motivate him we could have a huge x factor on our team. What are the alternatives too? Who comes here to be third choice? Do we put trust in the kids? BlueLion. 21,491
Sometimes being the operative word.'Sometimes' is being generous. For instance: 'sometimes Mikel scores a goal', or 'sometimes Oscar won't get ripped to shit after a match'. Happens very infrequently.
Pizy 18,916
Twitter is slacking with these days. No pictures of Falcao on a plane with the caption "On Roman Abramovich's private jet," or partying on "Roman Abramovich's yacht?"
RoyalBlues 4,050
#Falcao is close to a move to #Chelsea and the player is hopeful of making an official anouncement soon. [PUNTO PELOTA] @ADVcalcioAccording to marc*, we're close to sign him on permanent move I bet during Copa America, there will be a news that Falcao told his teammates he will be joining Chelsea... petre.ispirescu 4,928
I've seen that a deal is close to €45m .... .... €45m for a back-up striker?! A Russian newspaper wrote today that AVB wanted Falcao for his Zenit but couldn't do anything because Chelsea have already struck a deal with Monaco. £25m for a permanent move. No wages reported though.
