Mourinho is the Ferguson of this generation. United had a shocking squad in 2010/11 and ran away with it based on the Ferguson factor.

That's the thing people forget - the 'marketing brainwash' of people today is immense!

What people fail to realise is that there are 11 players on the pitch - I don't care who you are - you can't beat another team on your own, it's a collective effort. If you put Messi into Everton - would they win the league? Nope! Because the sum of the other parts is not great enough...

That UTD squad on paper looked shit - but the players knew their roles, knew what to do and did it. You cannot ask for more than that.

Sure we need a couple of players - what team doesn't? It's always the same - you always want more

The trouble with bringing in players constantly is that you lose that well regimented structure to the team - that should not be underestimated.

Is MOURINHO the best manager - who knows? He's good at what he does, but he's only human and can't be the best at everything. But one thing is for sure - he is a winner and fucking hates loosing - that's good enough for me!

If Sanchez gets injured Arsenal wont win the title, if Aguero gets injured City wont win the title, if Messi gets injured Barca wont win La Liga... Same applies to virtually every team unless they are in a one team league like Bayern and Juventus.

I don't think Arsenal are reliant on Sanchez though. They have lots of creative midfielders.

Some question marks about the Utd's line-up but I think the rest is correct for the most part.

The competition isn't brilliant. Good teams. Very good teams if they perform like you expect them to. But none clearly above Chelsea. I was hoping for genuine improvement this season from our team but with the lack of transfers, that's probably not in the cards. Unless we're lucky enough to see multiple players to take the next step in their development, but that's a big if. There's also the possibility of Chelsea regressing. As in performing at a lower level than last season, form of individuals dropping. I'd rather think that won't be the case though.

The bench is rather weak though, I have to say. Honestly don't like the look of it. Fitness will be key.

There's the possibility City will add De Bruyne, a centre midfielder and maybe a new LB to the team, but that's unlikely. Maybe one out of three. Good team but a lot of players will have to seriously improve compared to last season to overtake Chelsea. Not to mention the way they would self-destruct as a team last season. But City have proven they do better after losing their title.

Bench not impressive at all.

Arsenal's team is fantastic for me. Not great, but impressive. They finally have that word-class GK. And they've assembled a really strong squad now as well. Plenty of options in defence, midfield and attack. And also plenty room for tactical changes. Wenger seems to finally have accepted he has to make changes and play smarter in big games as well.

But as always, their problem is fitness. As long as they can't sort out keeping their players fit, they won't get the results they need (and break that mental barriere) over a full season.

Losing De Gea would be a huge blow to Utd. And I was convinced Di Maria would come good and I think they've lost some real star quality in him. Depay is a fantastic talent imo but he's not ready to be a star yet. He could prove me wrong but I'm fairly confident it's too early for him. If they get Pedro, they've added a very good player to their ranks, but he's not an individual who will make the difference. He's not a game changer. Rooney is the only star quality player.

Very good additions to their midfield. The added protection from midfield should improve their defending, something they lacked last year. But questions remain over the fitness of Schweini and Carrick. I think Herrera will continue to improve though, he's a really good player imo.

Options on the bench aren't much to look at. And with all the new players, they'll need time to gel and form a unit. I still think it's too early for a serious title challenge from them.

All in all, the title race will be a lot tighter I think, but Chelsea are still very much the favourites. The ablility to grind out results is still there and remains a huge advantage. Retaining the title is a must. But I'm not looking forward to the performances in Europe. Don't think they will be very pleasing on the eye to put it mildly (after reaching the last 16).

Arsenal are not good enough to win the PL at full strength and without thier best player they would struggle to finish top 3.

uhm. The EPL was absolute shite that year. If Arsenal perform, and City perform, it'll be a monumental achievement if we win the title.

this team looks pretty much figured out. overload the side on which Hazard plays and their is nothing the others can do offensively.

Ferguson was willing to win 3-2 against the bottom half teams, which helped. Jose isn't going to do that, and we are going to see plenty of 1-1 and 0-0 draws against bottom half teams.

Sorry what? Did you see our record vs the bottom half teams last season? Or any season Jose has managed us bar 13/14? Do you seriously think he will settle if we're drawing vs Palace at home?

Also I see Arsenal are the new City on here, i.e. the team that get hyped up beyond comprehension.

Forget the prediction for us for a minute, does anyone have any predictions for the rest that most may not have?

For me Sunderland have an outside shot at top half, Advocaat is a very good manager with bags of experience, theirs a reason the fans have gone as far as sending his wife flowers for agreeing to let him carry on.

I think Palace might struggle, Pardew is flavour of the month right now but is very overrated imo, he had great season at WHU then again at Newcastle and both times they struggled badly the following season, can see it happening again. Let's not forget Charlton bombed down the league pyramid largely thanks to him.

Also an interesting question is, which club will panic first and make an SOS call to Big Sam? Imagine if he ends up at Liverpool
