3 points is part of a result. A result is part of a performance and he said it was circus of a performance. Doesn't make sense.

Yes, but the 3 points is only part of the result. Just because you won doesn't mean you can't improve on your performance

Not in my book. we lacked accuracy and precision in front goal with only goalkeeper to beat. those shots were straight to their keeper he didn't have any difficulty to save those.

Well, our manager (probably the best manager in the world) was seeing shaking their GK's hand and congratulating him on the performance. That's a bit of an indication of how good he was.

I really enjoyed this game. I don't think I can ever enjoy easy wins. I need to sweat buckets, bite nails and live the agony of the game. What can I say? Perhaps I'm a masochist.

It was just one of those games. That, plus Patricio played a blinder. Nothing more can be said.. fantastic goalkeeping.

I hope we are saving all of those goals for Arsenal.

Too bad they all have an off day. :P

which is exactly why I'd have them whisked from Heathrow to Cobham faster than a fast thing from Fastville, Schurle "get the cones out!", and get them practising finishing immediately , ala Clough when he was unhappy.

The fact City haven't won it is special for us, because it means you can't just buy players. Our side had team spirit.. that never say die attitude, 'character'; if City win it, it proves the opposite.

No one wants them to win it, but I think no one thinks they could. They're just so unimpressive, if they somehow finish 2nd they'll fuck off the minute they'll get a team like Barca or Bayern or even PSG or Juve. I think if we lose the PL title to City it's horrible, this side just can't lift they're level to the next one, it's been like that for 3-4 years, they can't improve, this season we have a squad and a team that should brush them off in the league and I belive it will happen.

The game from a green perspective.

The pitch was horrible as always. We have the same persistent problem of Ajax. Because the roof is too large and closed, the sunlight and wind circulation are poor thus the grass won't grow well. Actually our team suffers with it a lot.

I don't agree when Mourinho said "it could have ended either 1-1 or 0-5". A final score is always the correct one. The whole match wasn't a brilliant display of attacking football. I don't agree either with Chelsea having been wasteful. To be honest Chelsea players looked a bit sloppy to me. Probably thinking of Arsenal.

The goal actually arrived from an iffy set piece and our keeper didn't look well in that picture as he was misplaced, but he redeemed himself when we exposed our defence chasing the equalizer, he was flawless. In the second half we played some interesting football, it wouldn't have been a shocker if it ended 1-1.

It's good, our boys did great. And Chelsea will be fine, it's the best team in the group and there'll be nothing else to see. Schalke are no opposition to you.

My final thoughts go for the kits that both teams used. Both awful. That all-green uniform of ours is terrible. I'd rather see the classic colours in action:

He congratulated him because he denied us several scoring opportunities not because he is world class keeper! Jose also stated that we didn't KILL the game in his post match.

Maybe it is because of the pitch condition, we are missed so many chances. At least I'm sure it is not because of the weight of our shirt..

lol the keeper just decided to become a god yesterday tho I would say our finishing wasnt realy there either

Well how to put us through a roller coaster ride over one match eh.....Missed so many fucking great chances to put that game away with ease. We found it so easy to get behind them because I don't think they knew how to use the offside trap and still couldn't finish the chances. I don't like to go on to much regarding missed chances but for me it made things so much more tighter than it ever should of been. Thought Matic, Cesc and Costa all looked really good, especially how Cesc dictated the pace of play and how some of his passing is such a complete joy to have.

I said before the game we had to just forget Andre's performance against Bolton but the theme continued I'm afraid, he was fucking woeful again. His confidence is at a low now, you can see it in his body language, even Costa had a right go at him for not squaring that ball much quicker. The change was right to fetch Willian on and he did OK but all those missed chances just left some what of a sour taste for me. delighted with the 3 points, and results went our way in the group, top by 2 now on 4 points and with back to back games against Maribor we are in control of our destiny and I have no worries.

Thought Luis was really good again last night and in the last few weeks he has done enough to give Mourinho a headache for me, very solid and pinched a lot of balls high up the pitch which really made us counter on them. Hazard while wasn't amazing he was difficult to play against all night, he was jinking in and out, drifting all over and was always a threat. Said it before Costa is a menace, he never gives up on fuck all. Should of done better one his one on one but made up for that just by backing in, playing on the shoulder and he looked dangerous all evening.

Finishing and being more clinical is top of the agenda after this, but that is the only downside for me. This was a good 3 points and very important after Schalke, the team looks sharp and I am confident that if we are more clinical on Sunday we wipe the floor with Arsenal.

Carefree!!!

Great game 3pts most important but on a different day against a much better team we might be made to pay for all those missed chances,I just hope we dont see a repeat of this against arsenal cos me for one wants a 6-0 again
