RoyalBlues 4,050
'I played with Diego five years ago and his growth has been huge,' said Filipe Luis. 'Every year he gets better and more confident. If you go back in his career and look where he started and how he suffered, he has never needed time to adapt in any place. 'He always goes to a club and scores. For some players, like me, it is not easy when you get a new club, new team-mates and everything is new, especially the physicality. But for Diego it's never difficult.'http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2763754/Diego-Costa-replicating-Jurgen-Klinsmann-s-seamless-introduction-Premier-League.htmlClearly stated he needs time to adapt for new environment. Manuf 1,448
Did you know that he is also eligible to play for Poland because of his paternal roots?Congratulations to him and his family on the birth of his baby daughter.yep, he chose not to, sadly left-back is a position that we haven't had a proper player since Anczok
Popular Post! Sheva. 5,373 Posted September 25, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted September 25, 2014 “It’s brilliant to be at this club, it’s a great feeling,” he told the London Evening Standard. “Every time I play and train, I feel I’m at a big club. “Everyone wants to play. If you don’t, normally you’re not happy. But when I came here, I spoke with Mourinho and I knew I’d come to Chelsea to be a champion, not to be the best left-back or best crosser or something. “When you work with Mourinho, you have to know that the group, the collective is above the individual. I don’t think about myself right now. “The team are doing a great job. We won the first four league games and drew the fifth one. I have nothing to complain about. I have to wait for my chance and when it comes I must make sure I don’t go out of the first XI.http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9488430/premier-league-chelsea-defender-filipe-luis-happy-despite-lack-of-playing-time bababoom, Barbara, Daniel1980 and 2 others
Daniel1980 1,425
I really really hope he starts against Villa, but he probably won't. If he doesn't, can see him starting against Sporting.

CHOULO19 24,332
Villa is a very good match to start him in, but the question is ahead of whom? Let's not kid ourselves, Jose won't be dropping Iva.

Still can't see Luis starting at all, but for me he deserves a shot he has been very good when he has played.

If Ivanovic hasn't been dropped after making so many defensive errors, then I doubt Cahill will be spending time of the bench.
cchuka 99
It's probably going to be Fave for Villa and Luis for Sporting
BlueLyon 9,359
Well if he wont start against villa, there is plenty time for him, I mean he is only 29...Seriously if Iva doesnt put his shit together in defence, Luis and Azpi should start. That gives us defensive stability and support in attack from BOTH sides, because Azpi can then at play on proper side where he can atleast contribute in attack to. RoyalBlues 4,050
It's a shame, we wrote "hope Luis start" in every match thread. Azpi and Ivan are undroppable at the moment.

Azpi and Ivan are undroppable at the moment.Luis is better then Azpi and Ivanovic, under any other manager Luis would be automatic starter. Sentimental reasons is the only reason why mou prefers Azpi and Ivanovic.
