Christian "Chucho" Benitez passes away at age of 27

So sad. Was being reported on twitter initially as a car crash but looks like it is due to peritonitis. So sad, was linked with clubs like Tottenham this summer and played against us a few times. So sad to pass away at such a young age. RIP, condolences to family, only moved to his new club earleir this month

Very shocked to hear this. Although he was crap over here, he is a very talented player and he's in his peak. Sometimes things happen that don't make sense. Nobody is safe. Anything can happen at any time whether it's an accident, illness or something else. RIP.

absolutely shocking - Chucho was a huge player on this side of the globe. Not in the US but All of the Americas. He played for Santos Laguna & Club America in Mexico, where he helped both sides win titles. The guy was a serious balla & I for one will really miss him. :sad:
