Could be a vital few years for this football club.  So glad we are rid of them scumbags Adidas: Quote They signed the £30m-a-year deal in June 2013 and were surprised when the company secured a £75m-a-year deal with Manchester United 12 months later. They believe they have been one of the world's most successful clubs and the current adidas deal did not reflect their market value. - http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/10278052/chelsea-and-adidas-agree-to-end-partnership-six-years-early-in-2017 If they paid £75m a year with United why did they offer us £30M when we won the BPL? the wes and ulsterchelsea

United have a far bigger fan base than us, it's not an insult, it's just a fact. Isn't really anything to do with trophies is it, it's business. Id be very surprised if we got anywhere near Uniteds £75m a season. Fernando

But if United don't get Champions League football twice in a row they loose 30%. Quote United receive £75m a year from adidas but that is cut by 30 per cent to £52m if they fail to qualify for the Champions League two seasons in a row Still more than we got / get. the wes
the wes 7,212
Well I think it's a smart move from the board we should get £50m a year for a kit deal MichaelDance
BlueLyon 9,359
Fuck they will ruin every damn thing that is good about chelsea. I get its just a kit and we will get more money, but we will probably end up with new balance or under armour or some shit that will make us look like clownish 3rd tier club. First yokohama then this. What is this bullshit. And we dont even spend the damn fucking money we get on players that would get us back to the top. I hope we get nike now. Anything else would be disaster. UA is making spurs kits like shit, nb is even worse. Puma is puma. Nike is only one that remains and while their kits are similar, at least they make them simple and classy and have good reputation in football world. All happy with hazard goal vs liverpool than I hear this shit. Season cant get any worse ffs.

So who was terminating the contract? Us or adidas? It makes no sense. We paid 10m to adidas in order to find better deal, yet Nike will be offering us the same? They bought them, changed all their clubs like City, PSV, etc to Nike and that was it. Umbro was bought by iconix brand group in 2012 and is now slowly getting back in football world with Everton, WHU and PSV all wearing Umbro now. ulsterchelsea
