Hi everyone, I don't know if anyone has heard of K-Pop which is Korean Pop. I am sure you all know Gangnam Style, probably the most famous Kpop song in the world.

I got the idea for this thread from a new member actually. I never thought about it before, and now if anyone here would like to ask or talk about anything K-Pop please feel free. If you know about Kpop already, who is your favourite singer/group?

I understand it's not for everyone, so if you don't like it just ignore this thread.

Not really a fan of Japanese music. Not because of bias, but beacsue the style is to busy for me, most of the girls have to similar of a voice.

There are some weird Kpop music out there but that video is pretty weird. haha not in a bad way though. Japanese is that way most of the time, the pop girls are very doll like.

And of course because Korean sounds nicer on my ears than Japanese, yes this is bias...

K-Pop is my guilty pleasure.

f(x) - Nu Abo is probably my favourite song. so catchy. love stuff from super junior as well.

K-pop is crazy, i dont know much about it, and im still yet to experience a lot of it, but i love it. its very formulaic.. but in a good way? the music videos are insanely good as well, based heavily on some sick dances. PSY is also awesome. any reccomendations would be very welcomed, its a great genre and im open to any reccomendations from someone with more knowledge than myself!

Edit: If anyone wants to know more about the groups then I can do a profile of the members(name, age, pictures, etc) for the popular groups. I think people can be better kpop fans if they know about the actual groups as well. Im talking about the girl groups actually, dont really feel like googlinf boys..

Anyway if anyone is interested in a specific group just let me know, or just want to see other groups

I've been following almost all popular girl solo / group. It would considered a crime, nobody mentioned Queen Hyori and 2NE1.

arent some of these groups hitting 50+ members?! all assigned different roles the 'cute' one the 'slutty' one the 'sporty' one the 'dancer' the 'shy' one etc etc. don't super junior have that fat guy simply because he makes interviews flow better? or something like that. crazy.

Yeah some have alot of members, i dont think theres 1 with more than 15 though. Super Junior had some of the members leave, or went to the army.

And yes for girl groups there are usually 4 main roles, the main singer(usually the only one who is actually very good at singing), the rapper, the dancer, the visual(the most good looking one) + a few more random members whos role is just not specific.
