The most important piece of information I gleaned from this is that he will absolutely not, under any terms, be managing us next season. Delightful. Cue us drawing Napoli in the group stages in the CL.

Don't think Napoli is the right club for him.

Would have been interesting to see Rafa at PSG.

At face value, PSG would have been the better option. Looking at it more closely though, he will have about £50-60 million to re-invest in the squad with the sale of Cavani and as we know, Rafa can be quite astute at buying players for not too much, so £50-60 million should be enough money for him to build a good team that could challenge for the title. He may also want Torres (hopefully) as one of the Strikers to replace Cavani as Torres seems to be playing decently under him.

You may say they won't challenge, however there isn't much competition in Serie A. It's a weak-ish league at the moment. Also, even though he won't play 3 at the back Napoli play in a way that is similar to what Rafa wants, a hard working counter attacking team. Everything is there for Rafa really. Lower expectations as well.

Good match for him. He wanted a UCL club and he certainly has unfinished business in Serie A. Good luck to him and Napoli next season. I don't think any nutter would sell Cavani for Torres unless we gave them Torres + £30m for him.

Rafa spent like 300 million at Liverpool and I'm sure only Alonso, Reina, Torres and Mascherano should be considered stand out buys and they cost about 70 million between them. Rafa will probably sell Cavani and replace him with Heskey
