No one really stood out but for me tossup between Joe Cole and Lord Percy Carvalho.

Carvalho just shades it. Imperious, the proverbial rock.

Its between Ballack, Cole and Carvalho, but Riccy shades it for me.

Class in most of the games his played in, scored great goals vs West Ham, Yids and Everton and plays with passion.

You could maybe say Ricky aswell but no one else has really stood out for me.

Without doubt there is only Joe and Riccy who even come close to winning this. Personally i would go for Joe, purely because i think it is Joes best season for us and i think Riccy has had better seasons previously but has had some top performers ahead of him.....

Riccy by a mile for me as I dont think Joe has been as consistent as Carvalho. He didnt have the best of starts to the season, although at times has been simply outstanding.

Good shout about Alex. Those three seasons at PSV have turned him into one of the best defenders in Europe. He would be first choice at any other club, you have to feel.
