Lol hilarious, in the most physical league in the world height isnt an issue....go watch barcalona,

height is important as you can have a variation of football needed to be a great team, not a one trick pony.

but u make the difference between Frank and Ramirez seem like Messi vs Yao Ming

No, im not.

Lol im the only saying we should play him for 1, a darby he gets, 2 extra height to add variation to play,

rami is 5.10, lamps is around 6.0 and a half that however IS a huge advantage in the air.

Having a midfield in the PL were only one player is over 6ft is daft, This isnt la liga.

Ramirez pace is more important for this game than Lampard's height. Ramirez did have a bad day finishing his changes last time we played at white hart lane.

I dont agree, theirs more then enough pace in front of him.

Without terry theirs no true leadership either, Lamps will have to play a big game like this on experience alone.

I hate to be that pessimistic poster, but really not feeling confident about this one. I've watched spurs' last few games and I think it'll take a pretty special performance from us to beat them; not because they're 'better' than us - they're not. But as other posters have mentioned, Spurs' strength is our weakness and under AVB they are becoming a frighteningly good counter attacking team. Plus, I think they just have a lot more to prove with this game than we do. Considering the baggage between both teams, I just can't see them allowing us to walk into their stadium and tika taka our way into their net.

Dembele will easily be our main threat - he's very, VERY effective in winning back the ball and breaking up play. If we can somehow get past him (and his partner in crime, Sandro) then we got this.

He is good but....

We as a team couldn't cross for shit!

Until that is improved, he wouldn't benefit from our play...

Admittedly we scored a header last game, but that is rare lately... Crossing in open play has been woeful...

we dont really play wingers. that's why we don't rely on crosses and also no Drogba anymore. the width is provided by the full-backs Cole is really our only good crosser. consistently pings good crosses into the area. ivanovic can't cross to save his life. admittedly, that was a good cross to torres against norwich but that was a moving ball passed by mata. his crossing from stationary balls is woeful.

Ivanovic is a lot more consistent in his crossing than Cole. Do people forget last season and the season before just because his crossing has been sub par in recent games?

Finally back to watching Chels.

Don't be suprised if Rambo is started on the right to counter the threat of Bale. AVB is going to go way over attacking and we're gonna rape them on the counter attack. 3-0 us.

There no difference to us really when we have Oscar, Mata and Hazard. We both have 2 holding mids, then there is 1 being Dembele and Lampard/Ramires who will push further up the pitch. Their wingers are just more faster and direct than ours.

his crossing is not good. has gone only from bad to worse this season.real crossing is to shape the ball with pace (jarvis, albrighton etc) but as ivanovic is a right back, he can be excused for that but all ivanovic does is dump it in. his accuracy is not good. last week against norwich was the first good cross by ivan in ages. i have watched him closely since he became a right back. his crossing and his decision-making to cross were both dreadful but have been markedly improved in the last 2 seasons. still he's no Belletti or Fereira. those 2 were excellent crossers during their time

You can't compare Brana to Belletti. Belletti was a RWB but...he could basically play anywhere on the right side of the pitch during his Barca days, kind of like Dani Alves.

I actually think Brana has done well at RB, considering his preference is CB.
