Yeboii 1,844
Anyone still think Oscar will stay our number 10 next season? Seeïng our line-up now it doesn't even make sense he was rested against Liverpool... Wouldn't be surprised where on the market again for another AM come summer.I'm pretty sure Oscar (and Schurrle as well probably) will have some part in this game at some part. Remember if there are no goals there is extra time.

lionsden 4,689
Maybe... but for who?For anyone that can create and make play, basically execute the functions of a playmaker to a certain level required at the top level. anyone that can even do it at bare minimum or satisfactory standard is instantly an upgrade on oscar. he's not hard to replace at all. Nike 373
Yes like Coutinho. he's a natural playmaker.Liverpool plays differently than us. Coutinho was quite shite in ultra defensive italy.
lionsden 4,689
Liverpool plays differently than us. Coutinho was quite shite in ultra defensive italy. No he wasn't. He more than held his own in the few apps he made for them. He wasn't in the inter manager's favour so had a restricted playing time. The same way Kovacic's minutes are restricted to just a few apps and minutes here and there. Doesn't mean they are shit just that the manager prefers experience and defensive minded players or tactically aware players. It's Italy afterall. Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
At what point is it better to play an unfit Hazard over him when hes been rested? He probably wouldnt have been good tonight, but surely he could have gave more than a man with 1 leg? Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
eh, I don't mind Oscar being bench, but Schurrle should of started if Hazard wasn't ready to roll...I posted this in the oscar thread because unlike schurrle, Oscar did not play the weekend, or even last week in Madrid. Sure he was beyond crap in that Sunderland match, but surely he gets some priority from his position in our squad early this season.
Jase 43,479
Quite surprised that he didn't start tonight. Thought he would given he has been rested quite a bit recently and would help to give us some attacking impetus going forward.

Against Liverpool I had no conditions and he was aware of that and that's why I didn't even go to the match and today I wasn't fit yet although I did my best to be, but I was still feeling a bit of pain in the thigh"Then he speaks greatly of Atletico saying they fully deserved it. He's such a class act, I'm so proud of this boy.He also said that the medical team spared him a bit not wanting to risk his WC participation, by worsening the injury. At the end he also said he's probably out of the next match, but that they'll try their best to still win the league, even if they depend on others' results. Barbara 15,149
injury? oh ya sure!!!He hasn't been playing well. But Mourinho said he was injured before the match and in the press conference and he said it just after the match. Why would we question them?I don't think his bad performances were because of this injury as he made it clear this injury happened last week, but if he's injured, then he is. José kept playing him week in week out even in his worst moments for us, for him to drop a player he trusts and bets so much it's understandable injuries may be involved or bad attitude which we all know Oscar doesn't have. I don't get your point, dear.I'm talking about why he hasn't taken part of any of the last three matches. I'm not talking about performance. I'm just saying there's no reason we shouldn't believe both him and Mourinho about his injury. If they say he's injured, then I believe he is.What I said further is that his lack of quality has nothing to do with that as he's been playing bad for a while and the injury is brand new. I think you misunderstood me because not for a sec I implied this injury is why he's underperforming. It can't be as he's been bad for a few months now.
