I have seen a few comments on this thread trying to down play Guardiola's achievement's saying he got lucky with the players he had, now while that to an extent maybe true why are most of them as good as they are in the first place? yes because of Pep himself.

Cast your mind back to 2008, Barca were in a mess. Ronaldinho, Eto'o and Deco, who were basically the 3 key players in the success of 2004-2006 lost form. Iniesta and Xavi were obviously talented players but who saw them as world class back then? i most certainly didn't.

Messi was also an upcoming young talent but Pep was the guy that made him, he was a brilliant little player pre Pep, now he is the greatest of the last 20 years, if not ever.

Lets not forget the way he promoted Busquets and Pedro who fell into the team like a glove.

To say Pep is a lucky passenger that fell on the Barca steam train at the right time is ridiculous, he is just as responsible for the success they have had in the last few years as Messi was, if not more and Tito is under huge pressure following in his footstep's.
