The way I looked at it was I wanted to kick out immigrants who were harming our economy by providing nothing to the country, but raising unemployment and taking benefits. I have no problem with immigrants that bring something to the country.

I believe Oz works in the same way, whereas you have to have a skill to gain a visa to live in the country. It's a good policy.

Anyway let's not get into politics.

On a related note, why is Paki considered such an offensive word in England? Over here we use it very freely. Obviously I would get enormously offended if someone even here came up to me and said "Fuck off home you fucking Paki", but no one I know has ever objected to being introduced by a friend as 'here's a Paki mate of mine'.
