DavidEU 2,023
David Luiz has been called up to represent Brazil at the London Olympics as one of the three players in the squad over the age of 23.The 25-year-old will join up with his teammates in Brazil on 9 July for training, before they fly to England to take on Great Britain in a pre-tournament warm-up game at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium on 20 July. The Olympic football competition is scheduled to run from 26 July until 11 August, with the new Barclays Premier League campaign starting a week later.http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2822566,00.html
skeeo 37
Good choice by Brasil imo, Luiz is a natural leader and fairly inspirational. Youngster will definitely look up to him.
Slam Dunk 1,442
So Beckham's confirmed he will not be playing for Team GB after Pearce decided to leave him out. Thoughts? I think its a ridiculous decision personally.

LDN Blue 7,903
Love Beckham as a professional and what he's done for England and all.. But seriously, this tournament should be used for England to showcase some young potential.

Slam Dunk 1,442
Kieran Gibbs, Aaron Ramsey, Joe Allen, Tom Cleverley, Ryan Bertrand, Craig Dawson, Jason Steele, Jack Butland all in Team GB.So Ryan will be missing a bit of preseason as well! CHOULO19 24,332
So Ryan will be missing a bit of preseason as well! Not that big a deal since his role in the team is secured. But playing in the Olympics is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Ryan, he deserves it.

The Olympic final is a day before the Community Shield, chances are Team GB won't go that far in the competition anyway It's probably safe to assume that Sturridge will be in the team as well.
