That's the problem with these twerps who believe this shit, they can come up with a host of excuses as to why nothing happened, they will say there were no attacks to lul us into a false sense of security...but why bother?if these ppl want to take over the world and kill everyone they don't need then why would they bother iulling us into anything? As ALWAYS anything they predict before the fact never comes to pass, they should stick to writing crap about conspiracies after the fact because its much easier isn't it,I mean 9/11 was an inside job was it? So where where these idiots on september the 9th n 10th?? I rest my case..and I don't care anyway because we are the champions of europe and the illuminati aint lmao

wow this was a dead topic. i have to say i've never believed in this illuminati controlling the 'world' as i leave that to the free-masons. but in music and pop culture i honestly have such a bad vibe and believe that theres a high possibility it exists. i'll pull up the video i saw tomorow(or later today).

thoughts anyone, on their influence in pop culture?

There definitely is some dumbing down going on. It's amazing how much pop culture has regressed in as little as 10 years. Artists have to make one album per year so they wouldn't be forgotten, that shows how forgettable "art" they produce. And if you watch TV, then no need to look further than MTV, what absolute crap it has become. Even cartoons are like that now. They used to be meaningful, I shit you not. As an adult I've researched about popular 90s/early 2000s cartoons and I found they often had hidden meanings, some even touching serious topics like alcoholism, abuse, neglection etc. Of course as a child you don't understand that, but the older you get the more you learn to appreciate how you weren't considered a total fool as a child, like now. Now when I am forced to watch CN or Nickelodeon, I see nothing but dumbed down naive crap.

Anyway, when you look at pop culture today, things that appeal masses, you see more and more materialism. They try to commercialize you just like they are commercializing "artists". There is little focus on quality products, but rather on mass production, which sells quick but doesn't stick.

Spot on there Manpe.

Even stuff like weed and such is becoming a popular trend now, teenagers think it's all good to do that stuff. Young Money and such are a disgrace yet they are idolised, no talent at all. There lyrics mean nothing, they produce none of there own music, and they do nothing but sit around all day and smoke weed.

Drake is the worst of them, making songs started from the bottom now we here and saying nothing was done for me, yet he is a rich jewish canadian who raps like he is a gangster. He also had family in the music industry which helped him get where he is. I don't believe in the Illuminati thing mind, but groups such as Young Money really are a disgrace, especially to some artists which are very talented and can't get anywhere cause some bunch of cunts have taken there spots.

Drake was not rich growing up and even if he were, who cares? Is it better to idolize Tupac who was a convicted rapist than someone who is not really poor? Being middle class is a worse sin than rape or murder? Do you have to come from Compton to be legit? Are only poor people allowed to express themselves? If so, once someone has one successful album, they're rich and their lives are easy if they want them to be and everything they sing about is bullshit. The idea of "the gangster" has always been nonsense, an image sold to white suburban teenagers to give them a thrill.

@Manpe-IMO the commercialization of music really took off in the 80's with the music video. Image was always important to musicians, but people like Madonna made image more important than the music.

Yes he was, he had every push, have you seen the fucking house he lived in, and the neighborhood. Tupac was very inspirational, had a good head on his shoulders regardless of the background he had, he's the type of person i would like to listen to, not the bull shit Drake says.

Your post is completely missing the point, i believe you're blinded by hatred that you quoting me out of nothing. Look at both there backgrounds, what do you expect the turnout is going to be?. Drake takes credit for stuff he never done, he's a lie, and he's also got no talent. Tupac on the other hand speaks sense.

Both of your posts are 100% how I feel. 2pac songs beared a meaning, unlike nowadays money-gangsters, who only rap about weed, 'bitches' and money. No fucking point in it. He might have been a criminal but he had loads of experience for a 25yr old. No way a sissyboy like Drake has that, let alone rap about hardships. Put things in perspective, TorontoChelsea.

I understand exactly what you're saying, it's just bullshit. Tupac had a good head on his shoulders? Tupac is inspirational to you? Tupac speaks sense? He raped a woman. He shot two police officers. He was involved in multiple shootings. This is not someone who was screwed over by the system because he was caught with possession of drugs or some other minor crime that was turned into something major because he was black and poor. He lived a life of brutal violence. Forget about commercialization, this idolizing of the worst elements of society is worse. You can like someones' music and still think they are a scumbag but most people can't make the distinction between the art and the man and you obviously can't.

Um...I'm from Toronto so I'm pretty sure I have a much better idea of the neighbourhoods Drake grew up in than you. He grew up first on Weston Road which is a shitty area. Then he and his single mother move to Forest Hill which has some massive houses but it also has some areas that are distinctly middle class.. I quote from an article about Drake "Our next stop is the house Drake grew up in, which turns out to be one floor of a modest duplex on a block of Forest Hills that feels suburban but hardly wealthy." (It's actually Forrest Hill, not Hills) Yeah, fuck him. He's middle class so he can't know music. Only people who grow up in dire poverty can make art.

(For the record, I don't like Drake's music, I just can't stand this romance of poverty and violence bullshit.)

You're not being rational here. Somehow his wrongdoings have nullified his work for you. He IS considered one of the best if not the best rapper in the history, whether you like it or not. Regarding Drake, you can see he is all about money and his music has no meaning, simply a face to put on a rap album. So please don't judge people by their cover because you accuse someone of ignorance towards Drake just because you're from Canada, but can't see further from the fact that Tupac wasn't an angel in his lifetime. Double morale. So you also think Terry is a awful footballer, a disgrace to Chelsea because he cheated on his wife - an act that makes everyone feel shit, humiliated, used.

#BLINDEDBYHATRED

I don't care what Tupac done, i care what the man is about. Drake is a much worse person, he stands for nothing, no pride, just nothing, what a fucking waste of space he is.

I think someone is a Drake fan, i didn't mean to upset you, so sorry #verysorry #itaynotmeannothingatall

There is a video of Tupac when he was younger, when he swore to change his life, he talks about his mother and such. Very deep, he is a good human being regardless of what's happened, Drake and Young Money have no meaning. There lyrics and everything is just pathetic, there raps consists of corny shitty punchlines.

Tupac isn't my favourite rapper, but I do respect the man and I enjoy listening to him.

I said the EXACT OPPOSITE of what you're saying I said. I wrote "You can like someones' music and still think they are a scumbag but most people can't make the distinction between the art and the man and you obviously can't. ". I don't care if someone likes his music or not or thinks he's a good musician, but to respect a person who was a scumbag is something else. The history of art if filled with racists and sexists and I can love their art and hate them. Terry has been a great footballer and his private life has no effect on that. However, had he been a convicted rapist, I don't think any of us would want him on the team no matter how good he was. Comparing cheating, something most people in their lives do at one point to rape and violent assault is absurd. Next time, read what I actually write.

@Kojo, you are actually saying that Drake because he was not actually poor is worse than Tupac who was a criminal and a violent rapist. You are actually saying that being a phony is worse than rape. That is so insane it doesn't dignify a response.
