The Official Real Madrid Thread

@ caprisccioso, i will read that in a bit when i have time for such a long thing :D i have read articles from there before.

@ TorontoChelsea, ill keep things short..

My big love in football is real madrid. It has been for years, it is because of them that i got into football, and zidane was a big part as to why i got into real madrid, and hence the huge cycle. Nothing will replace madrid, so after saying that, why have i started to engage in support for chelsea?

Their might be many reasons, and there are, but simply put it is because i am interested in seeing their football, their players, their culture, i have an affinity for them, i want to learn more about english football, italian football ( hence why i support juventus), i dont just pick a team and support it, i have my reasons, expansive ones such as affinity, yearning of education, and just for the plain entertainment.

Real Madrid is my love, but Chelsea and Juventus are my little affinities...its like real madrid is the heart in my body, and the other two are my lungs, in a body made to live football. ( I plan to engage in sports management, to some day lead a team as a manager or be in another management position , i have the tools to do so :clown:blue%20scalf.gif:chai: ).

I'm kinda open minded :)

The Madrid One, can you explain to me this weakness Casillas has in the air?

Cause I am baffle by that since someone mention it in the Cech thread. And I want to know if you share that view?

You'd have to elaborate on what you define as "weakness in the air", if you mean weakness in terms of high profile saves where you fly, or coming out for long balls and punching them out, then even at that, i can't believe he has a weakness in that area, because i cant really see him repeatedly fail, in any area. Maybe there are aspects in which some are better than him, but weakness for me is defined as an actual LIABILITY.

I can say though that i am not of the clan that consider casillas to be better than guys like buffon or kahn @ prime.

Simply put ( i can elaborate more if you want) technically casillas just isnt as agressive or imposing as the two buffon or kahn, casillas kinda waits in expectation, while you can feel the other two are like rabid dogs or warriors, just different.

Casillas once said that he is more of a kind of a goalkeeper that waits in expectation, i'll look for the quote incase you cant visualize what i try to say.

Call me TMO by the way Bud :clown: < is officially my favorite smiley :clown:

TMO mate

A bit off topic and I know it has nothing to do with Madrid

but since you're a fan of Spanish football (which imo provides some of the most entertaining games ;) ), what can you tell me about Javi Martinez from Bilbao? Do you think he would do good in a club like Bayern as we are closely linked with him?

I think that he would be a good signing for any team that needs him and can do something good with him.

He is a very good player, and he has been hyped, ( as im sure you know) quite a lot for his skills with bilbao. Bayern could use him in the center of defense as a center back, or use him in his primary role of midfielder, a defensively minded one similar to busquets.

Schweinsteiger-Martinez I imagine, would literally kill anything lol, but he is a hard purchase.

Bilbao have set a 40 million buyout clause, but in spain it's widely considered that bilbao would be able to negotiate with anyone except real madrid for various reasons, whether thats true or not who knows, some suitors that have been named are bayern, city, barca, and specially mourinho and real madrid.

We would probably actually have to pay the 40 million euros and maybe convince bilbao not to activate the clause or else we would have to pay taxes elevating the figure to 55 million euros or so.

So he's good but hard to catch.

For madrid, the rumor is that if we want him, then to just give the money, if we dont get him, other suitors are yaya toure and M'vila, whoever it is, i hope its someone good because lass will be leaving, and khedira isnt good enough.

Yea dealing with Spanish clubs when it comes to transfers are difficult

Thanks for the info though :) Nice to see that almost every Spanish football watcher rates him highly so it is a good sign :D

Do you reckon Sahin will get more playing time next season? It seems to me that Mourinho doesnt trust him to much.

The sahin situation has been made to look far worse than it actually is.

The players, coaching staff, and mourinho him self have heaped praise on sahin, pointing out how hes a great player with great future, and reminding everyone that he was bought for a 6 year contract. He didnt get to play until november because of injury, and during january-march he played little because he wasnt at his best, granero beat him to it, and mourinho usually sticks to a certain crop of players to trust on, till the rest of the season.

Its been documented though that sahin is back in good form, hes healthy again, and he has like 4 more turkey games and a buttload of real madrid pre season games to warm up for the 12/13 season (hopefully the SAHIN SEASON :D )

I hope we get martinez, ( lol sry) :clown:

Sahin (23 years old) Martinez (23 years old)

would "dominate" for years. :clown:

And here is my question, Di Maria.

I remember there was huge hype of this lad and he was looking really impressive. What has happened?, i've heard nothing of him, and when i've watched him he has been poor. But then again i seen him against Barcelona. So yeah how is he?, has he been dissapointing?.

Well hype is always at its peak for the most part, when expectation is high. Real Madrid during the 10/11 pre-season, along with all its transfers was getting tons of hype, this has lowered down, as you have noticed. Not even ozil is getting as much hype as he was getting circa October-December 2010.

Di Maria is a strange case for me. He has done very well imo for club and country since his arrival here. He almost always has some kind of impact for argentina, respectable compared to messi's at the best of times, and he's a great final ball specialist, giving us a massive amount of assists ( considering the amount of time he gave them to us in late 2011) during last season, albeit being injured.

He has accumulated about 16 goals and 34 assists in two years which is good, i guess even great, and he has saved us many many times, scored many great and important goals, and has also assisted some important goals as well.

The numbers are there, and the sort of impact is there but for me, and for many madridistas there is dissapointment in the fact that he is kinda stupid.

Most of the time his runs either result crashing like an idiots into players, or just basic turnovers to the opposing team. His passing aside from his final ball typically sucks, and he is famous for his diving.

In the end many are ok or glad or happy :D with the results given but dissapointed at the fact that a player with such dribbling skill and final ball accuracy, auto destructs with shitty basic passing and stupid dribbling into other people.

if he loses that "stupid" factor in him he could be phenomenal, up to this point i give him a 7.5-8 /10.

EDIT: and also, he is tremendous at helping the team at the back, he's such a great helper. Oh how complete this could would be if he fixed somethings. His shot is also amazing.

This is getting a bit too far. This is a Chelsea forum, not a general football forum and yes, they have a lot of history and tradition but having a Real Madrid thread on TC? That just makes us look like a nothing small club. Let's bow down to Real, Liverpool, Barca, Man Utd, Milan and Juve because we're not fit to wipe their arse. We know who Real Madrid are.

Lol it's just a thread. We have one for almost every player in the euros in the transfer market section  If anything, imo, the "We Hate ....." threads reflect a small club mentality much more than this. Let it go...

We're Chelsea, we do hate Liverpool and so on. It's Chelsea related and worth talking about. If it was a Real Oviedo thread then yeah.... interesting but Real Madrid? What do we not know about them. I don't care that they are team of the century, team of the European Cup, done this, won that etc, etc. We can talk about Real Madrid in the Spanish League thread. This is way over the top imo. I'm all for seeing other fans here talking about us but this is Talk Chelsea not Talk Football. And as forums are about opinions, this is mine and for the record i don't like nor care a shit about Real Madrid CF.

Cmon now, be a bit more open minded. Your narrow mindedness makes you look a bit brash, this is a thread in the general football section, if you dont like it ignore it then, but the importance of it on the negative side is no where near as grand as you make it out to be. Stop it with the soap opera :clown::D

Economically stated, real madrid is the best economic sports power house on the planet.

We have the ability to gain profit, clear debts, and generate revenue which only a couple of other franchises can compare to, we have the money to do things.

Thats why real madrid have practically bought a piece of an island, and are in the proccess of building real madrid resort island, can you believe it? Real Madrid is going to have its own island..with hotels, rides, stadiums, shops, stores,...

Regarding the stadium, the board has decided that as the years pass, we want to make the bernabeu a more modern place. The bernabeu is to glorious to replace so we will remodel it, and thus far the main idea that in the end i think will be the final one has been to add a cover around it using fibers and what not to create an allianz arena like stadium, its not a copy though, ours would be better :D

The staidum would digitally change colors and would move the real madrid logo to different positions during time periods.

It will illuminate all of madrid, in the day it would have a clear fiber glass look.

That sketch for the remodeled Bernabeu looks absolutely disgusting.

Once the final sketch unveils it self, it will turn into the envy of the whole world. Those who dont like it, simply have bad taste. :dunno::dance::clown:

I for one love it, and for me i wouldnt care less if all the madridistas hate it. This is the way to go!
