The Garden of Eden. 🌱

City... with Aguero and Sterling (in a season where DeBruyne was absent)

Liverpool...with Salah and Mane close behind

Chelsea.... Hazard. We're missing our Diego Costa. Praying the price for losing him so easily.

I'm not so sure.

We miss prime Costa sure, but the version from 2017 onwards makes Morata look like Ronaldo De Lima.

For curiosity sake, I want the transfer ban to stick and then see whether Hazard will do a Griezmann.

I absolutely love Hazard, but dont you guys think our over reliance on him is the reason we have regressed so much as a team in the last 3 years? Yes his arguably Chelsea's best ever player but I am with Sarri, he needs to move more off the ball, Hazard is a ball hog (an excellent one by all means) however I think letting him go might be better for us in the medium to long term. We need to reestablish an identity. All the great Chelsea sides (the ones with Lampard, DD and Terry did not have this over reliance on one guy and had a system) I remember winning important games when Drogba, Lamps, Terry or Ballack were not playing. We need to go back to that philosophy were the greater sum of the team is better or more important than one person's individual talent.

I have to agree with you. Few times we have actually looked better as a team when Hazard was not playing and I'm not so sure how well would he ever fit to Sarri's high energy high pressing football

If Hazard wants to go he better hope the ban gets overturned.

The bans will not be overturned I fear, but we DO need CAS to overturn the non-deferral (whilst the appeal of the actual bans is heard, which can take up to 6 months) by the FIFA Board of Appeal

that is the biggest issue atm

IF the deferral is not overturned, then we have a huge decision to make

Do we sell Eden, Willian and CHO this summer (and not be able to replace them until summer 2020) OR do we hold onto all or some and let them walk on frees in summer 2020?

Willian will sign a new contract, BUT he wants a 3 or 4 year extension, which means until he is 34 or 35yo, which is ridiculous. If he wont sign a 1 year extension, we need to sell him this summer, ban or no ban.

CHO needs to be told that his main competition at LW (Eden and Willian) is gone this summer or next and he needs to renew. If he refuses, then we have to decide if we sell or let him walk on a free in 2020.

Eden will now (with Zidane back at RM) NEVER renew, and we probably need to take the £100m or so (if we are lucky) and sell him, regardless of whether the deferral is gained or not.

Obviously, if we win a deferral, all 3 need to sold thsi summer and replaced, unless Willian and Eden leaving changes CHO's mind (I SO SO hope it does).

No, the over reliance on Hazard is a consequence of our regression not the reason. We over rely on him because there's noone else to step in and take some of the burden.

The reason is lack of investment in quality players over the years while the few times  when we have invested big they just haven't panned out as we hoped.

You mean against championship sides in the cup and the likes of Malmo and Dynamo Kiev. Piss poor opposition.
