I dont want him...

Why settle for second best - keep Torres + Sturridge and then get either:

Falcao

Cavanni

Llorente

In the Jan window or next summer...

Keep filling up our squad with 'could be's / wannabee's ' - we'll end up in 6th place... We need good youngsters and some proven talent....

Sturridge is hardly proven.

He had a good 12 month spell, that's all.

Andre. Andre. Andre.

We can't be having Germans named "Andre" or "Marc-Andre" or "Mario". Bring back the Franz's.

Xenophobe. Germans can have whatever name they want, their names don't have to be ostensibly Germanic.

Yes they do, otherwise you'll have them doing things not associated with German footballers (missing penalties, choking, being shit in general).

Lars Bender. Sven Bender. Now there are a couple of great German names. They'll never miss a penalty and will be the best player(s) on the pitch every big game they play.

He is proven. He has proven that he can score goals from the right wing at Chelsea. He has proven that he can play as a stiker at Bolton.

21 goals in 55 appearances since January 2011. It's not great but it's good for his first lengthy stint in the first team.

8 as Centre foward and 13 as right winger.

Miroslav Klose. Polish name.

But then Andreas Schurrle is proven as well. 27 Bundesliga goals, 7 goals for the national team.

Exactly!

And how is Schurrle proven? He's another 20million gamble... I'm sick of gambles - we've been lucky so far... why risk it further....

Schurrle isn't a that much of a gamble. He has been very good for both Leverkusen, Mainz and Mannschaft.

29 goals in 108 appearances. 7 goals in 17 for Germany.
