I'm at a tossup who I'd use as CB. Ake,Christensen,Happy.

Dave outstanding Centre back when the ball played along the ground he's not great in the air which was showing last nite and teams will see that has a weakest I would push dave on left wing-back position and get Zouma or Ake in one them centre back positions

But we still need a good ball playing CB back there. Luiz  can hoof it upfield and is much calmer on the ball now but he needs someone back with him to pass to to take it upfield instead of just giving it to a WB.

But yes Dave as LWB would work I reckon.

You have to think he's going straight into the XI or at least considered a serious option if Conte wants him back. Otherwise it would be a waste for him to just be another RLC who just sits on the bench every week.

I'd prefer him as a CB than a wingback.

Yeah, easy to say but who would you replace with him?

My picks Cahill.

Not in match squad today.

Can only think that conversations have begun about him coming home and theyve decided to start giving time to their own guys.

This. If Ake is to be utilized, it should be in midfield, where he did well previously under Benitez.

Francis Coquelin springs to mind. We can really use Ake versatility I think especially in the middle.

Not a big fan of this. Clubs should honor such loan agreements when the loan is working out, even if there is a clause. Reciprocity is the key if we want teams to give our loanees serious game time in future agreements.

I do hear you and on principal its all well and good but turn it aropund. Do we let all the ones that are't being used just stay where they are achieving nothing either for the loaned to club, the player himself or us in bringing his rep higher or to use ourselves.

Do we settle for bringing in a player that did well or should we set our sites higher and buy real talent (if available of course)

I cant remember him setting the \Bridge on fire. Think he only started what 2 or 3 and subbed another 2 oe 3/ But hes obviously got much better since then with regular playing.

I know his preferred position is MF but do we shove Nate aside for him? I'm not sure I'm only wondering. If we think its the best option then I'm all for it.

Its just these CBs/ WBs are doing my head in not knowing what our best path to take is.

what do you think guys? ake is good enough to play with regularity?

We need bodies, he can play a bunch of positions. This window makes it hard to buy and we lost Oscar, Mikel and likely Loftus-Cheek will go too. Its just about making up numbers for me

He might be a good option for wing back as Alonso is starting to drop in form.

Not just that but as mentioned he can play in other key positions.

I'm all for it just as long Conted uses him and not stuck him in the bench.
