love cfc 0
Chelsea owner Abramovich backing Grant tribalfooball.com - March 03, 2008 Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich remains fully supportive of coach Avram Grant. The Guardian says Grant's job is not in immediate jeopardy. Abramovich has too much invested in the appointment of an under-qualified coach to one of European football's top positions to dispense with him after one Wembley defeat. Sources close to the owner insist he has not moved to change the manager nor sanctioned any approach to the Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard. Fulham Broadway 17,362
Every managers job is 'safe'. Losing the job is like a car accident, you dont see it coming. 'not in immediate jeopardy' sounds hopeful though.

changingman2000 35
"Grant's job is not in immediate jeopardy" Sounds like music to my ears anyway. Hopefully the sacking will go something like this.......... "ALL THOSE CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BY Chelsea FOOTBALL CLUB TAKE ONE STEP FORWARDS........GRANT, GET BACK IN LINE" Edited March 3, 2008 by changingman2000

I agree, sacking him now would be a bad move, as crap as he is. It would affect the squad too much.

misschief 24
I remember when Mourinho's job wasn't in immediate jeopardy - he'd just won a couple of trophies. No worries for Grant then.
