Madmax 9,219
The 19-year-old, who has been capped by his national team at every youth level, has been tipped for a bright future at the top of the game but is said to be frustrated that his potential has yet to be rewarded with a long run of games in the Chelsea first team.Kakuta is currently competing against the likes of John Obi Mikel, Ramires, Michael Essien and Frank Lampard for a starting place; a tough task despite his obvious quality.I don't see why he thinks he should be given a 'long run of games in the Chelsea first team'. As BRMC said, he hasn't yet done anything of note in a Chelsea shirt. Carlo is giving him minutes in almost every game, can't see how he could do more. He's got more on his plate than just handing out starts to Kakuta to keep him pleased.

caesarblues 51
THE THURSDAY INTERVIEW: GAEL KAKUTA 'It happens sometimes when people come through together and we talk about it between us', Kakuta says. 'We are happy with what the coach has done for us. He has helped a lot and given us all confidence. It is good and he is doing a really good job in the club. 'We spoke about the games and things like that, and he has said what he wants from me. I want to be involved in many games and try to get on the pitch as much as possible. I don't mind playing on the left or the right or behind the strikers. It is good to have different positions, that can help me in the future, and hopefully I can score some goals.' Kostas 1,468
Said some positive things in the interview.Good news for us since that makes a move to Bayern unlikely
Badboy 1,526
I don't see why he would go to bayern, they would not start him ahead of robben or ribery or even thomas muller !

Term-X 7,891
Today Ancelotti started Gael Kakuta in an attacking trio, in front of a midfield including Ramires. Ancelotti explained he swapped Kakuta with Yury Zhirkov at the break to give both players a half following their international duty. 'Kakuta is a very good player, showing fantastic personality. At that age, he is very young, but he is a player ready to play for us.'Football is not just power. On top of power it is skills, ability and instinct. Kakuta has a fantastic ability.'Ramires is doing very well. He played two games for the national team, he was not 100 per cent, Kakuta as well.Let's hope he gets back to 100% fitness and is given another chance. I was starting to think Carlo was doubting if Kakuta's cut out for Chelsea but if he's still backing him then it's all good.

eldo 868
Were does Kakuta fit in our system?Where Malouda is playing? Malouda is also not natural winger, and same for Anelka. Christmas tree, one of those two players behind the striker?
Kostas 1,468
Malouda was a winger when he joined us. I believe Kakuta doesn't "belong" on the wings as he's not that fast and his creativity is wasted there. Our system is more similar to a 4-3-3 with Anelka having a free role than 4-3-2-1. Much like Deco I don't see how our formation suits his style.
eldo 868
I wouldn't like us to have a winger who is all about pace and doesn't have much skill. If you take Bale for example, he kicks ball in front of him and runs after it. I don't like that. IMo, skill > pace.
NattyBlue 44
Kakuta knocked it around great yesterday and when our flair was showing in the game he looked right at home imo. We're keeping him, that should be final imo He's a fantastic talent and he'll have time to adjust into the team properly

Anyway back on point kakuta showed a carefree attitude yesterday with his excellent dribbling ability, also his delivery was good to sturridge.
