Justin_3d 1,140
I love trying new foods. We just came home from Japan and the food was amazing. I live in Shanghai (slightly sweet foods) and have an ayi for Sichuan (very spicy). One of my favorite places to go out to eat is called Lost Heaven (it is a chain in china and the food is mostly Yan'an style and very flavorful without being overly spicy. I enjoy eating Mediterranean food, and German food (I was raised on it since my great-grandparents were born there). The best foods I've had:lamb chops in New Zealand at a friends houseFish and Chips in London and Edinburg (someone above mentioned how different Australian fish and chips were from those in the UK and I'd add NZ is very different too)Best Hamburgers: XXX in West Lafayette, IN (I miss a good US hamburger!)Best dry rub BBQ ribs: Rendezvous in Memphis, TNBest Wet BBQ ribs: the commissary in Germantown, TNBest Steak: My dad's house! LOL or Roosevelt's in Shanghai or Ruth's ChrisAs far as drinks: I like cider and the UK has be best by far or a good glass of wineHave not tried a good burger in a longtime!Going to go get me one today! BosnianLion 232
If you like burgers, try putting a fried egg on it. Sounds gross but its really good!
capriccioso 2,545
Should any of you find yourself in Sydney, I highly recommend Beverly Hills Kebab and Pide House. They make the best kebabs I've ever eaten Erciyes, a Turkish restaurant on Cleveland Street near the city in Surrey Hills also make a mean kebab. Also, I would strongly recommend to never buy anything from the kebab shop on Eddy Avenue near Central station. I bought a slice of Hawaiian pizza (the cheese tasted months old and the ham was leathery) and a chicken shish (which had me on the toilet for 3-4 days).
