This is the perfect example of how this world is going to go into anarchy ! In the next 15 years you'll hardly have a city centre to go to, they'll hardly be any stores any more and the internet will takeover because of its much lower overhead's ( No rent and electricity). This is soooo bad for the economy that people don't even understand it, the next generation will be buying socks off the internet in package deals. Half of Europe will be on the dole and central government will not be able to finance a national welfare state. These websites that sell merchandise employ very few people, in fact you can run one all on your own. Now if you put 2200 people on the benefits line for 70 websites that employ lets say 140 people then that is terrible economically even if the consumer saves a tenner. The other horrible thing is the website does not even have to be a business in your country, it can be a business overseas paying taxes overseas which means lost government revenue.

I reckon if all the GAME stores get closed over here, everyone's going to resort to eBay! But some people on eBay can be really stingey, especially when they take pictures of their games they want to sell, and I quote.. "in good condition", and then they send it over to the buyer in a really tatty condition. Either that, or they get the buyer to pay for the game, knowing that everything feels legit, but they never get the game, and then the seller turns the whole thing into a con!

I play it safe and use either Amazon or ASDA!

I know but I'm personally principled against online shopping. If we all shop online it won't be long until all our jobs are outsourced to India, Ireland and the other IT hotspots.

Let's hope they do all come to Ireland, cause we have none at all at the moment :ermm:

Sorry to hear that, but from what I've heard and seen in the media is that the Irish economy has regressed so far that wages are actually in direct competition with the emerging economies in Asia- India, China and so on- and because of its better communications infrastructure, Ireland is starting to overtake India in the world of IT outsourcing.

Or thats the theory anyway.
