Frank has said MANY times that he wants to stay and the club have said they want him to stay, we have no idea what is holding it up. But we shouldn't speculate, and just wait and see and hope the contract gets done.

I read yesterday that, Chelsea offered him 133000 and an extension for two years whereas FL wants 133000 with an extension for 4 years. Chelsea are a bit apprehensive in giving him a huge contract like that for a longer period as he has touched 30 and they fear he wouldnt be the same in a year or two. ShevChenko episode has been a RUDE shock for them and they dont want to take any chances again. Ballack was also given a similar deal of 120000 for 3 years and depending on his performances hes contract will be extended. THAT EXPLAINS THAT BOTH FL AND Chelsea WANT EACH OTHER!!! but the Club is being just cautious.

LOL, Lampard's agent Franco Granello

The world and his dog knows who Frank Lampards agent is.....

Well...I know its Kutner who is FL's agent, but This new guy Granello seems to be the broker for the deal as he is an Italian and knows the Italian Club's repesentatives well.

Doesn't mean he has any connection with Lamps, or any idea what he is going to do

No he hasn't. Even if Inter HAVE sent a fax beginning negotiations it doesn't mean anything at all.

Well esk, I hope what you say is right.

I'm also looking forward to Scolari saying that Lamps is staying in the press conference he's about to have B)

New Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari insists Frank Lampard has told him he wants to remain at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have rejected an official approach from Inter Milan to discuss the transfer of the 30-year-old.

"I was very happy because I asked if he wants to stay and he said 'yes, I will stay at Chelsea'," said Scolari.

But Lampard has just one year left on his current contract and his agent Steve Kutner says the player's future is "completely unresolved".

Talks over a new deal for Lampard have been on-going for two years without success and Chelsea face the prospect of the England international leaving for free next summer if the matter is not resolved.

Inter Milan are keen on capturing Lampard with coach Jose Mourinho, who managed the England international in his spell as Chelsea boss, keen to take him to the San Siro.

"You've got Inter claiming they've made a bid, Chelsea saying that they are not entering into discussions over a transfer and Lampard pretty much saying meet my terms," said BBC football correspondent Jonathan Legard.

"Those terms from what I gather are a four-year deal worth about £150,000-a-week.

"So the battle lines are being drawn up and Inter are still quietly confident that Jose Mourinho will get his man."

But at his first press conference in England since taking charge, Scolari said he envisaged Lampard's long-term future being in south-west London.

"I met him on Monday and told him that I like him very much as a player and as a person and I asked him if he wanted to stay, not only for this season but for longer," added Scolari.

"After we had spoken for 15 minutes, he said he wants to stay and play for Chelsea for many years.

There was an offer and we confirm it

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti

"I am very happy because I think Chelsea need Lampard and I think he is with us for more than one year."

BBC Sport revealed on Monday that Inter had contacted the Blues over Lampard.

However, a statement on Chelsea's website on Tuesday read: "We have informed Inter that we will not enter into any discussions regarding the transfer."

Despite Chelsea's insistence that they had not received an offer from Inter, the Italian club's president Massimo Moratti claims a bid - reported to be £6.5m - was made.

"This is not true," said Moratti. "There was an offer and we confirm it. However, we don't want to create any big problems.

"They replied that they have no intention of negotiating, as was their right. Now we will see."

Lampard also has an option under Fifa rules to buy out the remaining 12 months of his contract.

Scolari has already signed Portugal midfielder Deco from Barcelona to join the Blues' already considerable midfield resources.

...and now his agent has alluded to the idea he may be going. Some media are saying the agents had a falling out with Kenyon. Kenyon offering 4 years and they want 5. Inter are prepared to give him five years.

Give him a five year contract you tight fisted cunts, hes deserves it.

If the club are offering him 4 years and he is turning it down then i think he wants to go and is using this as a way of forcing himself out.......
