That's exactly what happened. It comes across as some legitimate virus protection and then it does who knows what behind the scenes. Had to tell everybody in the house to ignore it when it first comes up but family randomly hitting accept. I did the safe mode reboot but it was a pain to get rid of.

Shit always happens with windows. Want my advice - go Apple. If you need windows boot camp and parallels are their.

We have two iPads in the house and daughter has the iPhone - only thing I don't like on the iPad is no Adobe Flash. Quite a few sites I visit frequently still use Adobe Flash. Our next computer purchase will probably be a Macbook. Went to the Apple Store the day after Xmas and it was a madhouse.

I use a top of the line custom Macbook pro! Have a high end 3D toshiba gaming laptop.

I also just paid for a new gaming desktop to connect to my TV!

Don't know what the big deal about macs is? Apart from using them for design.

I used a mac for about a year, too many limitations, too expensive. Paying for the illuminated apple on the lid IMO.

Bought an HP lap top. Came with NVIDIA GEFORCE GT Graphics card (mid-range) plus 8gb RAM for like 600 pounds. Runs BF3, skyrim, DIRT 3, AutoDesk Inventor 2012 perfectly!

Macbook pros are what, 1000pounds? if not more.

You might say "mac books last forever", thats true, but the computer technology is forever changing and you cant retrofit components to macbooks

As long as you keep the porn at bay, Windows will last a long time too.

I have i7s and I think they do a fantastic job. I use my rig mainly for gaming, too.

They don't, they perform the same for a much lower price. This is because all the i7's do is create an extra 4 (doubles) "virtual" cores which is great for video editing and such where extra cores will help out, but most games wont use more than 2 cores, so there's no performance difference and in some cases even impair gaming.

Well, it's not shit. It lacks gaming performance and it isn't the fastest, but it's light and has incredible battery life. I've gotten 7-8 hours out of it before.
