Christmas in London

Alright, as the December is about to come, I make this topic to get the most of my trip to London.

Me and my girlfriend are travelling to London to see and experience Christmas in this wonderful city (it is my present to her, as she loves London as well). Well, actually it is a pre-Christmas period, as we will stay there from 17th till 23rd of December. My questions are clear, I suppose. I'm asking you guys living in London, or those knowing the city very well, what we really should and must see, visit, what you would recommend us to do etc. We do have some plans but having you on here could be very beneficial for us and the whole trip. I just want her to enjoy every second of the time spent there so I would be really grateful for any tip, recommendation etc.

Cheers, M.

There are quite a few outdoor ice rinks this time of year, I know for sure theres one at the natural history museum and last year I went to one at hampton court palace - they have a nice christmas atmosphere especially at night. And I guess shopping around Regent St/Oxford St when all the lights are up would be good, very busy but a big part of christmas in London.

so much to see ...My word of advice, ..You can only see a fraction of what London has to offer but dont try to do to much ,,Personally I would say try to take in

a London show ,,,perhaps a matinee (afternoon ) performance. I am sure you will have a wonderful time.

I'm going to that tomorrow! Can't fucking wait... the new and improved ice rink they have there looks absolutely amazing! :D

13 quid for an adult ticket (peak) is a ripoff though, you can get off peak tickets which are cheaper, but they only have 6 off peak days which sucks... but that doesn't bother me since I go to it every year!
