Illnesses.

Over the past week or so I've been really sick and I still am. I've been struggling to walk, eat and do most everyday things. I've lost a fair bit of weight and I look like a ghost.

The doctor's believe it has somthing to do with the nerves in my neck, (which has caused immense pain) but that doesn't explain why I vomit everytime I eat. Hopefully the blood tests will explain more.

So far this mystery illness has taken a lot from me and I've been wondering if anyone else has had terrible experiences with ilness they would like to share.

It feels better to bitch about it on the forums anyway.

I was stricken for nearly 2 weeks only just recovered for Christmas in 2008.

I remember coming back from playing football, having tea then feeling pretty faint so went up to lie down for a bit woke up a few hours later with the worst headache i have ever had and it lasted about 5 days, tried to go college the next day but lasted one hour then went back home and was in agony for 5 days then slowly the headache went but i was still ill for over a week after that.

All in all im pretty lucky with illnesses as that was only one of two times i have been seriously ill since i started high school, the other caused me to miss out on a Chelsea match (although they did end up losing it 4-2 to Charlton).

Hope you get better soon mate

That sounds terrible Spike! Hope everything gets better for you!

Thankfully, I've been able to stay away from major illnesses! I guess you could say the closest illness I've come to know is the common cold, but that's nothing compared to some of the major illnesses people tend to get!

Mate, fingers crossed it is nothing serious and you'll be alright soon again. I'm really sorry to hear it, I'm with you.

As far as I am concerned, I've been lucky enough to stay away from this kind of illnesses. A lot of people, including doctors have told me that doing some sport regularly and starting it at an early age (in my case football) have helped me a lot, creating some kind of resiliance.

The toughest thing is that I'm missing my last ever week of Grade 12 due to illness. It is hard watching a chapter in my life close while sitting on the sidelines.

During High School this is probably the third time I've ever been ill, the last time only being a few months ago.
