Being realistic does not necessarily make you pessimistic or depressive. And furthermore result may not be vital for every fans. Irrespective of result a fascinating and brave performance can make fans proud. an ugly 1-0 win.... not much pride.

My prediction was based on the assumption that our midfield/wing will remain unchanged. Anyway we have another month and half. lots of things can happen. If we can sign any two of Aguero/nasri/Mata/Pastore the this story will change.

And I am basing my assumption on the fact that we wouldnt be buying anyone (Which is the worst case possible). Expectation can vary from fan to fan. For me playing with positive mentality , with flair is more important than anything. You certainly can have different opinions. I respect that. And I believe if your team play good football eventually they will win things. "Losing with dignity" kind of stuff is Arsanal's proprietary.

No we will not be title challenger if we dont change. I am not calling for radical change btw. We are good enough to be in top 4 or even top 3. But again that is not important to me. It is more important to build a future which was due in last season, either Carlo or board was reluctant to do that.

But I agree that we will be in transfer market. And with one or two important addition in our midfield / wing we can be world beater. We even can win CL.

I think 5 years from now people will keep saying that the squad is one of the best in the league.

The current squad will be lucky to finish in the top 4. I feel sorry about Villas Boas if we dont buy the right players in the key positions.

In last years the Board and the managers made a terrible job with this squad. Just look at the players we think are not essential anymore: Anelka, Malouda, Ferreira, Essien, Drogba...how much we can get for them? None of them are worth more than 12m english pounds right now, due to their age and the few years they have in their current contracts. We will be lucky to get 20m for all of them together.

Our academy is yet to produce a regular starting XI or even a sub. that made any kind of impact in the game.

City keep spending big, Liverpool is doing a much better job than us, MU squad is stronger that ours, and it seems they are trying Sneijder, while it seems Modric is our top target in this summer...

The board keep saying we need 2 or 3 more players and the squad will become superb again.

Last years we bought Ramires and Benayoun, a 30 years old player, in a squad that was already old.

Our first pre-season game is 7 days from now, for a club that needs a revolution, or an evolution, as Boas' said, I think we are already late.

1- Its very simple, when you have to buy players, you dont have money from players transfers, so you must ask for Romans money again. I dont know if we can rely on his money forever. Hes been here for 7 years and we are in the same situation. If he doesnt give us the money, we just cant buy anyone.

2- Very simple. Most part of players Barcelona has right came from their Academy, we dont have such a thing, so it means that we must go on market to find some decent players.

1. Losing three Defenders of your squad and replacing with one. Is NOT strengthening. They will be exposed with injuries piling up. Remember our last season? We cut 5 players and bought in two. Nevile and Brown were part of their squad and played games when squad was rotated. A Good squad player will always be missed like we missed Beletti last season and Joe Cole.

P.S: We are talking about SQUAD not the First 11. A Squad is more important over the season than your first 11.

2.You tell me which looks stronger. JT, Alex, BAne, Luiz, A.Cole, Zirkov, Bertand, Bosingwa, Ferriera or the Man Utd list that you put out. MAN UTD defense is weak. They have let go of experiences players like Brown, Oshea and Nevelle. They dont even have a decent RB. Rafeal is just an error prone RB and if he gets injured they are screwed.

3. Ashely young doesnt weaken their squad. But when you look at the overall squad numbers they have lost 5 and brought in 3. Pretty much similar to what we did last season. Thats certainly not strengthening.

4. I thought you were making assumptions based on current squads. Man Utd havent snapped Sneijder. Sneeijder may be > Modric but coyld struggle in Premier League in first season, you never know. Just like Veron, Sheva and the likes.

Liverpool MAY be fourth at the end of next season. In the PL, you need game changers. Liverpool has Suarez, who has played a grand total of 13 games in the PL. Shut him down, who will step up? An aging Gerrard? This isn't 2006, and picking up British players doesn't guarantee anything, other than rapturous approval from jingoistic fans. Man U, Chelsea (despite the head-to-head results last season), Man City, Spurs and perhaps Arsanal are all better than Liverpool right now, and that doesn't factor in sides like Villa and Everton who struggled with injuries or underachieved last season.
