Tu te débrouilles bien ? Ou tu parles aussi bien que Frank Ribery ? ph34r.gif

I speak French of course, my native language, I like English that I practice at school since I'm 4 or 5. My aim is to be fluent or nearly in English, it's one of the reasons I went on this forum biggrin.gif

I always wanted to learn Russian, but I have never found time for it...

Je pense je fais pas mal à parler dans langue. Mais j'ai un vocabulaire limité parfois. Ainsi, une conversation détaillée est parfois difficile.

Haha does that make sense? It's meant to say "I think I am not bad at speaking the language. But I sometimes have a limited vocabulary. So an in-depth conversation is difficult sometimes." It's been a while and verb tense I sometimes struggle with.

you have to agree! That's true right! I've casually studied Swedish for 4 years so I should know

Well, the languages are very similar, but I have never thought about it like thatrolleyes.gif

Maybe you have a pointsmile.gif

So you are pretty good at speaking Swedish then?

I know enough to get around! Like Alex tried to explain in French (and he didn't do too badly actually) is that my vocabulary is still limited. Linda sent me a good story book to read from Sweden for my birthday! It's all written in Swedish and I'm working my way through it right now! From my experience, it's never easy! :P

Le début est abominable, Frank Ribery n'aurait pas fait mieux.

Absolutely!! That's the real benefit of learning Swedish!! I'll definitely have some time to study Norwegian and Danish writing as well. I already know exactly how to tell them apart if you gave me some text to read :)

If Norwegian is the melodic language, then Danish people are the ones who talk like they have a spud in their throat! ;)

English(British and North American), French, and extremely little greek. Next summer im doing an internship and was going to take a language course at night at my university, but the question is which one?

I am thinking its between spanish or german. German is hard from what I hear, and spanish is similar to french but I hate speaking french and german just seems so cool to learn and since im in enginnering I figure the germans wouldn't be a bad group of people to associate with.

Any suggestions?

btw, I want to know some tactical/technical words in French too

I'm learning French, and I'm going to France for my future studies.

I speak English of course, because I was planning about going to study in the UK, but it's too expensive for a Chinese student. Not fluent, but neither my Chinese is XDDDDDDDDDDDD

So Chinese (a.k.a Mandarin), mother tongue.

And I'm good at Japanese, especially in listenining ,I also speak a little , but cannot write in Japanese because I know nothing about it's writing grammar.

I imagine Japanese is rather easier to learn than Mandarin. Though Japan does use four alphabets...Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji and Romaji.

Kanji is a bastard to read.

Oh really ? Kanjis are Mandarin characters , of course they are hard to read ! so learning Japanese is not difficult for Chinese people haha, our culture are so deeply related.

Hiragana and Katakana are real alphabets, Romaji is a method to present kana in western language I think, so we could type Japanese on standard keyboards.

そうじゃないか something like this XD

I think its wrong when people suggest German is difficult to learn . The grammar is straightforward with few exceptions ,,most verbs

are regular and pronunciation simple. In terms of Science and Engineering it probably ranks second in importance after English
