FIFA Investigates Itself

So FIFA is going to look at how Jack Warner and Mohammed Bin Hamman might have accepted bribes in the light of Lord ''i'm as greedy as the rest of them really'' Triesman. Mmmmm.

Surely the crucial thing here, is the fact that one of them is running against the Mafia Don himself , Blatter - thereby besmirching a rival candidate for footballs most lucrative job ? :whistling:

Exactly what I thought.

Such an obvious attempt by Blatter to rid FIFA off Presidency opponents. Pathetic.

Yes all very convenient in terms of the announcement -takes the focus off Blatter himself, and by the time its sorted out the election will be over......

He'll pull the same sort of trick to get Platini elected when Blatter has to step down.. -_-

Too true you just know Platini is earmarked as the next president -though that septic Chuck Blazer -a man Utd fan no less (the one who looks like he doesnt know what a razor or haircut is) could sneak it. this time round

Whats amazing about this is that FIFA is answerable to no one as it stands -yes they have an 'Ethics Commitee'' -but who oversees that ?

Be intersting to see what comes out of this but highly unlikely it'll be a 'they've all got their snouts in the trough'' conclusion

Worked out pretty well for the racist, sexist, homophobe -another 4 years

Warner has stated that Blatter bunged him £1M for his own federation to sweeten a deal Blatter wanted through, though -still feel this could lead somewhere...

It's absolutely ridiculous no-one questioning the legitimacy of this entire process. The head of FIFA can't be tried by FIFA! That's a total shamble. There should be an independent body for this kind of thing

English media having a field day with it.

Like a big "I told you so" in FIFA's face right now. Though they're still bitter about losing to Russia.

Asking whether Russia bribed though, is like asking 'does the Pope wear a funny hat ' ?

Perhaps. Though the immediate reaction made us look quite childish tbh.

I really hope in light of all these "ethics" investigations there will be reform calls in FIFA. Though while Blatter and Platini are in power, those calls will go unheard.

Yes it did look childish LDN agree -and our bid looked embarassing all the way with sqeaky voiced Beckham, two braincells shearer, and a parasite 'royal'.

How do you get a job in FIFA, seems like a good way to make money.?

Are you talking about the job with Blatter or Bin Hammam? :Goober:

:smiliecap1: Lol Good way to make shed loads of cash.

Theres something fundamentally wrong when Blatter is now the only one standing. All the national football federations are frightened to say anything as they get trickle down FIFA cash. So why rock the boat ?

Its completely wrong though, if we take the last World Cup for instance -South Africans sweated their bollocks off to build and prepare for it, the stadiums and infrastructure -an they all paid tax.

FIFA make millions and millions from the advertising, Coke, McDonalds etc and tickets -yet their astronomical profits are completely tax free!

They have at least $600 million in petty cash lying in a Swiss Bank account -wouldnt this be put to better use encouraging and developing grass roots football ????
