  1. I am so fed up of people believing that quality is the thing that is most lacking in the club, not at all, it's leadership that's missing. You can't expect to be a goal up against united or Tottenham if your team isn't good enough, but they did, the problem is they fell apart later because there isn't anyone to guide them. I mean our captain is Azpilicueta for fucks sake, he is one of the best players in this world but he's not a leader, did you ever seen him trying to gear up Christensen or Courtois after their mistakes against Barcelona? He just isn't meant for being a leader. We have too many good players who play for their own well being and can't give any attention to maybe help their teammate who is probably not in the best of conditions Now as to why this is in the Conte thread, leaders are not born, they are made. This is quite a young squad, it was up to the manager to convert them into a squad rather than a team of brilliant individuals, and not only has he failed miserably, he is the most fuck all amongst them. Before new signings we need a manager who could instill confidence and passion that has been long lost amongst these players.
  2. Rather see this team manager less, then see Conte shit all over the players and the club's ambition
  3. All this discontent around Courtois, still I'll never in my senses play Willy, he doesn't look confident, just gives everyone around him the willies.
  4. Everyone understands this view point that he didn't have the players to finish in the top 4, but that's not why most of the people have started disliking him (I think atleast I'm speaking for myself), you might be discontented that you don't get the players you wanted, but you don't go moaning about it every week, you still have a job, you go out and do it, the Manager instilled confidence in the players the last season, this season It's just the sense that these guys aren't good enough, granted you might not be too happy about the condition at the club, but you can do loads better than giving that ideology to the players and cutting a grumpy figure.
  5. Yeah but it's still Liverpool, they might be 3-0 up but you still get the feel that they can throw it away. I have much more optimism about us catching Liverpool than Spurs
  6. Nobody has ever downplayed his commitment, just his ability to be a LWB. The basic requisites for a LWB for me are Good crossing, speed, Defensive ability, tracking back etc. Alonso isn't too good in Defensive positions, and neither has the speed or agility to be a wing back, the goals and his attacking vision are a great thing to have obviously, but this really shouldn't mask his other inabilities. Of course you don't need to have a World class player in every position, but you do need someone who'll atleast fit into the position, and his abilities qualify him more as a poacher rather than a wing back.
  7. I think with Hazard the case is more with his thinking rather than his abilities, for me he is the best dribbler in the world with no exceptions, yet he doesn't often put it good use, even while Willian has largely limited ability in dribbling as compared to Hazard, whenever he gets the ball, he tries to run at defenders with it, trying to make chances, with Hazard the case seems more of making the passing look beautiful rather than of any good value. I know Hazard is the last of our problems, just something I think he should work on
  8. His passing is too poor to become a holding midfielder really, the lack of ball playing defenders is one of the major reasons we fail so poorly against high pressing sides
  9. Come on guys, I know Courtois was horrendous in the match yesterday, but he does hardly put a foot wrong. This might be the first match in many which I think could be blamed on Courtois for a loss. All of you are just looking for a reason to hate on him because he has a big mouth in public, but so does Hazard, he was also horrendous yesterday. Yet when it comes to Hazard, the case suddenly becomes about not having good enough team mates. Atleast Courtois took it on himself and didn't shy away from criticism, could have just gone there like Hazard did with Conte and blame his poor performance on someone else.
  10. Of course a better wingback could have scored, a better midfielder could have put in better passes, a better striker could have made more chances, we don't have that stuff though, instead of just whining about the result, appreciate the team for putting in everything they had, running for every ball. You can't expect a player to increase his qualities but you can ask them to put in the hard work and the team did exactly that.
  11. Nobody gave Chelsea much of a chance and rightly so, Chelsea are not the team they used to be, the players gave it their all, and we were the better team for the two legs, but not everyone has Messi to show in their ranks, yet after the Man City game, all that I wanted was the fighting spirit and it was there to see, even after being 2-0 down. All in all taking pride from this performance #KTBFFH
  12. Been the better team, nothing to show for it, don't really think there's anyone to blame, everyone is trying to fight, that's all I wanted from the team. KTBFFH
  13. If we go up first, I think Conte will take off Willian or Giroud. Because no matter how great the team is I can't ever see anyone scoring two against Chelsea when they set up to defend, atleast this Barca Side who is not even close to the top side they once were
  14. I don't even understand the concept of playing a false 9, not only is it bad from an attacking perspective, Pedro doesn't really seem to add anything to the defense anyway, atleast if we play Olivier, we would actually be able to control the ball and thus disrupt their attacks.
  15. He has been in the premier league for a long time, it's not like he's an unproven quantity, his hold up play and vision has always been amazing and probably one of the best in the game, but he just won't score many goals and that's why he could never become a top team striker, he isn't the most clinical in front of goal, and we'll just have to accept that.
  16. Selling a cunt is never a bad thing to do, the only thing that went bad is that we bought a bigger one, but that doesn't change the fact that Costa was annoying to watch and I'd still rather have any half decent striker who is actually interested in football, than the pricks that are Morata and Costa
  17. It's not the physicality he's lacking, it's the mentality, he could stay on the feet instead of falling down, could fight for the ball whenever he wants, he doesn't lack muscule, he just doesn't wanna use it in playing, he's more interested in fighting around getting yellows. We had many bad strikers, but atleast no one was as annoying to watch as he is.
  18. What does Morata even do after coming up except fight without reason. Giroud should start against Barcelona, but still I think we do need a striker in the summer
  19. This is the problem with having no experience in the team, they will hopefully fall away in the premier league as well, because this loss would stick on their minds
  20. Cause these guys know how to pass, for starters
  21. Seeing all these high pressing exciting games in the champions league, and then watching our match against Man City, why to be always this protective, just have a go sometime
