No one cares what he wants anyway so...not really much difference
-
So yeah basically he admitted Hazard got a value of around £100m but we are not interested in selling. Which is what most of us here already knew anyway, no one is unsellable in football, there will always be players to replace them. Even Messi, I am sure if some team actually offer £250m Barca will probably sell, because no one is worth that type of money.
-
Naaaa man Cavani+£60m is fair or Thiago Silva and Matuidi+ £50m. Or £100m in cash would be alright too.
-
OK that it is, official decision making time now, no more if,but or anything. Hopefully this is Cech's last season at Chelsea, if we could win the BPL or some how fluke our way to CL win then that would be fitting parting gift to one of our best player in history. But no matter what, this will be the last season Cech stays in goal regularly for Chelsea.
-
And they spent £18m on Gustavo, who is a player in the class of Kevin as well.
-
Would be funny if after like 5 years he becomes one of the player with most appearances in Chelsea history, would be quite funny as I doubt anyone could see this coming after his calamity during those early years.
-
Yeah but I think that was down to Kevin pissing Jose off in training, which basically signals his own death really, Jose don't really make amend with anyone, once they are bad they will forever be bad in his eyes. Remember Kevin started like 3-4 of our 1st few games because he impressed Jose in training and pre season. So good thing maybe is that Schurrle has a better attitude than Kevin but talent wise I am not sure.
-
Judging by his recent performances he might eventually end up becoming our new Kalou, which is terrible for someone of his potential. Hope he proves me wrong but if his recent performances are anything to go by he will never be more than a sub player. I think he is actually really similar to Kevin in a sense that they were both big fishes in small ponds. Even playing regularly for Bayer, he wasn't having any major outstanding seasons but rather decent ones.
-
He already said he is not going out on loan again, he WILL MAKE A DECISION ON HIS FUTURE IN MARCH. But I agree it will probably be until the end of WC. At the moment he is like in top 5 in the world, he got nothing to prove anymore. If he could leave even for £20m I could see clubs like Madrid, PSG and maybe even City going in for him. Not to mention the likes of Napoli, Dortmund, Atletico...etc
-
Casillas 6th despite playing less than 3 months last season LOL, that is when you know it is bull, but then again he is a Madrid player and we know UEFA...
-
In life you take risk and live by your decision, so we take our. In logical sense, obviously we must sell Cech or keep him happy on the bench some how. For all we know Courtois could do a Ben Foster and fuck us massively next season, or become better than Neuer. Really it is risky but we have to make a decision.
-
If we are so sure about him going to become great, throw in a bonus clause then. For example if he scores 20 goals or having more than 10-15 assists in a single season for the next 3 years then we can add on £5-£10m to the original price. So eventually it would end up a good fee if he really becomes that good anyway. For now he look like a £15m player with potential for more, but then again not every player realize their potential.
-
There you go, clear as night and day, people who says he got to prove himself, why? We might not actually like the sound of this but...there are a few better clubs to play for atm such as Madrid, Barca, Bayern and to some extent even Atletico. The players don't have the fan mind, they view this sport as a job not some romantic story. If he can't get into the 1st team here he will go ''fuck it I am off to Dortmund for all I care'' I will be competing in CL every season anyway. I agree that he shouldn't have everything handed to him on a plate but in this case he deserve it after being world class for 3 seasons in a role, more than proved himself during then. If Messi was coming here now to replace Hazard I am sure no one would give a damn if Hazard is sold, we only do for Cech atm because we feel sorry of ditching Cech after everything he gave us, but this is real life, football is also a business in a sense, the old days of just good fun kicking around and go to watch to waste time are over, now the global images, long term prospects, financial situation all play a massive part in this sport. If we had an 10 years old Audi which still run well as new but if we are given a new Mercedes just came out last year for a cut price we can only afford by selling our Audi, obviously we should take it. The same is here now, for all we know Cech could break his hand in like December next year while Courtois is having the best season of his life for PSG or something.
-
Good player with potential to become top 50 in the world, shame will probably never be one because of mentality.
-
Not if we are gonna use that money to sign Diego Costa
-
Yeah he is not good enough for BPL, don't want a De Gea 1st season here do we... lets loan him to West Brom/West Ham
-
Another reason is that he is into the final 2 years of his contract now and his father said he won't extend his deal if he isn't made number 1, not even a fight is up for debate atm. So either we use him or risk losing him for very small fee or eventually free in 2 years, our choice.
-
Wouldn't be surprised if there is a clause in his contract that says we must give him an extension if he scored a set amount of goals or something.
-
He is doing that now, last season he was never given much chance in that CAM role because Mata was preferred by RDM then Rafa. Regarding Mata, his stats last season is good but not exactly mind blowing and in 11/12 it was just about decent.
-
With Eto'o being given a contract extension after scoring 10 goals for us

http://www.caughtoffside.com/2014/01/06/chelsea-close-in-on-20-7m-deal-to-sign-ac-milan-forward-mario-balotelli/ If this is true...fucking hell the club have lost their head.

Ok lets see other options that are better or as good as Rooney: Ibra-no point as old age, huge wages and not for sale Cavani-not for sale, would cost at least £55m and also not exactly small wages either Falcao-could get-28 years old already-£200-£250k per week, transfer fee also around £50m Balotelli-Crazy, not for sale yet, also would want quite a lot in wages, would also cost at least £25m+, risk not worth taking considering his behaviour Suarez-Not for sale yet, CRAZY RELEASE CLAUSE- probably at least £80m, wages about OK-behavior issue again Diego Costa-£32m release clause, probably won't demand huge wages-BEST OPTION AHEAD OF ROONEY FOR ME Jackson Martinez-40m euros, probably really low wages-not exactly young and not proven anywhere but Portugal-could be another Falcao or Veron Dzeko-Will want to leave eventually but City won't sell to us, probably not huge wages-good option but won't happen imo Lukaku-Not good enough to start here weekly, probably good as back up for our new ST Benzema-Not bad option imo, not for sale atm but in the summer we could get him, probably like £30m and £100-£150k per week or Morata too if he wants to leave There you go, not really a lot of realistic options is there, maybe Diego Costa or Martinez and Benzema, otherwise not a single chance with the others. Or we could just go for risky options like Oscar Cardozo but it is not worth taking that risk at a club like Chelsea, we need a proven ST.
-
Torres probably not, Eto'o more likely and the rest is probably right.
-
Yeah I meant when he was still here, he was practically never used since after the 07/08 season really. And Hilario is still at the club. Then there are players like Bertrands which probably won't ever make it here, we will just sign someone like Shaw when Cole leaves. Then there is the useless Essien and Ba, who combined wages is close to £170k and so on... The point is £300k for Rooney might seem a lot but it is nothing if compared to the amount being wasted by us on needless players.
-
Probably bullshit but what do you all think? http://www.caughtoffside.com/2014/01/06/man-united-ready-to-pay-25m-for-chelsea-youngster/ Personally I would let them loan and at the end of the season straight swap with Rooney if they want him permanently.
