  1. Marriage is about forgiveness and understanding. He made a mistake (granted a huge one) and I give Toni a lot of credit for forgiving him. I hope they can move past this and move forward. It is nice to see them happy. I for one am tired of hearing about his marital issues.
  2. what a freaking media circus... this is why you do not use athletes as your moral compass!!!
  3. Welcome Jordan, From a fellow American I'm down in Memphis, but hail from Michigan originally and married a NY boy We've lived in NY and PA both. Where in PA are you going to school? I get the "glory hunter" crap too, I just look at them and say and how did your team do this weekend?? LOL that is usually enough to quiet them down. LOL and if you are a cubs fan you know all about being a die-hard fan, so I'm sure you can handle it. Kerry

  6. LOL Thanks I try to be a good sport. I don't mind a bit of ribbing and can handle a bit of flirting, but I always make it clear I'm here looking for friendship (I've been happily married for 15 years) and to talk football (American's don't talk football!). I think most the young guys think of me as ancient anyway! LOL
  7. ah, yeah, no not into that! Definitely, prefer men with their shirts off! And NO PAPER in the US would have that... prudish aren't we??
  8. honestly I've only seen bits and pieces, so, I think I will go with a no... since I'm not agreeing to anything I'm not certain about! LOL the US papers don't publish anything that can get them in hot water and 1/2 what is in there I've already read on the web. It's sad.
  9. LOL I get a chuckle out of your newspapers, ours our just rubbish but not nearly as entertaining as the sun...
  10. Terry!! That's the way to show he's focused on the game!!
  11. ah I was hoping that it would be about the football... guess I should have known
  12. Okay, so I'm a little dense today, why are the Burnley fans booing every time JT touches the ball? Is it because he scored the win when they were at Stamford Bridge (did I remember that right) or something else?

  14. Come on Chelsea!! It was a near thing, almost didn't have power to watch the game, lost electricity last night at 6:30 pm and it didn't come back on until this 8:30 a.m. (It's only 11:30 a.m.). I was almost in a panic
  15. well if that isn't just an idiotic and archaic opinion are you sure you are living in the dark ages??? It takes two to tangle and if JT is messing around behind his wife's back and with another man's wife then that shows a complete lack of morals. It is also so common in marriages of the rich and famous that I am not sure why it even makes the news, pro-athletes and movie stars have the need to constantly be the center of attention and adored then add the stress of having the press watching every move you make. Good God why would anyone sign up for that kind of hell? What does his personal life have to do with his performance on the pitch???
  16. I with you on that, I think they need to put their country first, but I have a feeling I'm in a minority on that one. I know the US is very concerned with Clint Dempsey's recent injury.
  17. I think the reason everyone is upset that Ghana was still playing him was that it was reported he had a hamstring injury prior to the knee injury... why would they field an already injured player?? I'm praying it is only a month that he is out but the accounts don't seem to agree with each other so I will wait to see what they say once he gets back to Cobham. Mikel will have very big shoes to fill!!! Hope he can step up.
  18. Thanks Alex... I figured that it was probably a time zone incompatibility issue. I guess I just never really noticed it before.
  19. Just noticed that the clock for the Sunderland Match is still counting down until game time (0 days, 4 hours, 20 min...) is that a glitch in the clock or because I'm in the US and it's only 10:30 am here and match time was 3 pm?? just curious
