That's a load of bullshit, if your watching the match at the stadium or on TV, then you still support them, you still jump for joy when your score a goal, and you nod your head in disapointed when your team concede a goal. I've been supporting them since I was about 6 or 7, that's been about 10 years now. I've only been to 3 matches, but becuase I don't earn money, and my brother and Dad both support West Ham. Well England only enter a major tour every two years (unless they pull a 2006 ) so it always has that special atmoshpere, then like always gets shattered by penalties . So I'm siding a tiny bit more with country.

Since that they have spent about £200,000,000 on players, I will definatly be having an eye open to see if all the hype they created will live up to the expectation. Especially to see if Ronaldo should be treated like the second coming (with the whole presentation and everything).
