Maybe it would be good to watch , but cuadrado and cahill as our right side of defence.... might as well leave the goal open.And ivanovic is a great defender , when his attacking role is reduced in big games. He is probably better than anyone in the world , at shielding the ball out for throw ins / goal kicks.

He got on because he is English , plays for chelsea , the champions , part of the best defence. Just a lazy decision, they just assumed he should be on. No way a player who is dogshit for half the year , and loses his place , comes back and does alright gets on.They probably could have found someone better , if they put some effort in. He deserved his 13/14 nomination much more

Any footballer worth his salt , could replicate cahills passing. He doesn't make many major errors with it , but its slow , and leads to predictable buildup. Actually watch stones , he moves it much faster.Cahill s passing doesn't bother me much , compared to his other major flaws, but I could never praise it.

i couldnt disagree more. i've never seen cahill pass it out well from the back, usually takes excess touches, does a rubbish cruyff turn and passes it square.

He wasn't coming off the back , of an impressive pl campaign though.
