Today wasn't, nor should it of been an eye opener for anyone, the glaring deficiencies were there from last season. Alonso, Moses, Matic and Cahill need upgrading on. Yes we have bought Rudiger but the problem being now is IMO we have dropped a massive mistake giving Cahill the armband, it makes him nigh on undroppable yet he's miles away from the level we need, he will get ripped to shreds in the CL as well as the wing backs. The squad is worryingly thin, I hope these reports of four more players are correct, because we need it big time.

If we are to be anything of a threat or even compete as much as possible then both sides need mass improvement.

It needs to happen, I hope to god it does, we so need a world class LB.

It's like an example of what can happen with injuries and suspensions in the season coming. The squad needs strengthening quickly, we need more depth and quality, upgrades on Alonso, Moses are needed and Matic too. Forget the score in this game for one second and just focus fully on the squad and it's miles from the top european teams which is where we need to be at.

There is only so much you can do with what we have. Players like Cahill, Alonso, Moses, Matic etc need to be upgraded on if we are to get to the levels of Bayern, Madrid and Barcelona, which is why this window was and is so massively important.

You are missing the point here. In this day and age with social media and now with nigh on every business, in the contract of employment is a social media policy that is a strict guideline of do's and dont's and there are reasons why. Social media is a fabulous tool, but it's also a very dangerous tool in the wrong hands and it's one of the biggest trip hazards in modern life today. Once that 'Post' button has been pressed it's out there, literally no coming back. These footballers, or any footballers are the face of a football club that follows them everywhere and one silly post can be the end like we will now see with Kenedy.
