I was at Boro v Derby on Saturday watching Tomori and Mount, Mount went off with a knock and was probably a precaution for Wednesday. Tomori was excellent, but he was made to be for the most part, Boro were just hitting it long to Assombalonga all the time and it was a no contest in the air between the two. Derby should of won the game but failed to take chances when they had them, then conceded a freak own goal. I'm not worried about this, we are flying right now and confidence is massive. Sarri needs to teach him how to defend then we will have a nigh on complete LB, until then he is still decent and that's that really. If you want to watch quality LB's in terms of skill set and defending then go watch Alex Sandro from last night, absolute master class in both going forward and defending.

Gary Neville on Saturday mentioned the point again in his commentary "Why does he persist in always going to ground" There is a simple answer to that, it's because he has no idea what to do other than go to ground. I will say it again, we have two very average strikers, but right now Giroud is lesser of the two evils and is much better than Morata.

For the life of me, I have no idea how anyone can defend Morata at all.

Typical England with another performance out of nothing. This has been the most depressing week or so of football I can remember. I sat there on Friday night, switched the Croatia game on and just looked at the empty stadium and thought "Is this what it's come too" I fucking despise International football, its an absolute abomination.

Lad needs a lot of credit, he's worked fucking hard to get himself back to 100% fitness and has adapted unreal to Sarri's style of football. He deserves all the praise he is getting.

He won't get a run of games here, unless something drastic happens like a long term injury or suspension occurs. Kovacic and Barkley are ahead of him in the pecking order. I cannot see a long term for him at this football club, I just can't.

No way he breaks into this midfield right now, our midfield with Kovacic/Barkley, Kante and Jorgino is absolute top level right now.

The problem right now with him, is he knows he is this sort of in and out utility player, and he's actually behind Pedro in the pecking order IMO. His consistency levels are what is the problem, it's something that gives MS a problem. He's played under managers that allow him time to fuck about on the ball, Sarri doesn't, he wants it moving all the time.
