  1. There are some sick people in this world, why would somebody want to do soemthing like this? Hope he and his mum make a speedy recovery.
  2. Thanks all. I will try to bear all of this in mind when looking at going to future matches. As I have said before I'm trying to make the most out going to maches and living close to London. I don't have to worry about paying for travel as I already have season ticket because I work in London. If I were to think about getting a Season ticket next for next season, how does that work? I mean I know that you pay a lump sum like £800 or whatever for the ST. Does that gurantee you entry to every match, and i'm assuming that you don't have to pay for each match you go to?
  3. Absolutely and the first time that I've ever been to a football match, and am really enjoying the whole experience.
  4. Overall a good result. Found it hard to keep up with all the chants, liked the bouncing one, bit scary, but netherless enjoyable.
  5. Thanks and does the loyalty point system work the same as with premiership for FA and CC?
  6. Cheers Alex, how are much are tickets normally for Carling Cup and the FA Cup? Why are tickets for the Premiership more expensive?
  7. after Fulham, i've got a ticket for the Burnley game and am looking to get tickets to the Stoke and Spurs games. After these I really need to slow down and not go to as many games as it will get quite expensive. Can any of you guys recommend which matches I should go to or ones that I shouldn't miss out on? When do we start playing the FA Cup? At the moment I can only see games for the Barclays Premiership on the official website.
  8. I know this sounds like i'm a big girls blouse, but i did feel emotional after the Chairty Shield, being my first match and all that and felt overcome by the occasion.
  9. Cheers everyone, and here's to a successful match.
  10. If you could go out for a date with any Chelsea player, who would you choose and why?
  11. Well I think that says it all then, doesn't it?
  12. We're on a roll at the moment, and there's no reason why we shouldn't beat them. What's our previous head to head like against them?
  13. Well I'll probably end up getting bus from Wimbledon to Putney Bridge. According to TFL website there will be 2 services, one is all stops to PB and one is non stopping. Hope I can get on the non-stopping one. is there are quick way to get to Craven Cottage from the Station to the PB stand? Don't want to get amongst Fulham fans.
  14. 1. Have an expensive bachelor pad, preferably by the river 2. One of those boxes at the Bridge. 3. A season ticket for all home and away games for as long as I live for 4. A grand piano 5. Enough money to live comfortably
  15. Wow that's impressive, so he's got a long way to go, but i'm sure he can do it as he's super frank!!
  16. Beware, I've just found out that there are yet again engineering works on Sunday between Wimbledon and Putney Bridge on the District Line. I gather a replacement bus service will be operating, and i'd certainly reccommend that you leave early as it took ages to get there last week. What a bloody nuisance. Surely it's not necessary to do it 2 weeks in a row!
  17. So I wonder how many would he have to score to be the top goalscorer of all time for the club, who was the best was it Peter Osgood?
  18. In my mind they're not proper supporters if they put the team down. I'm just starting out as a supporter and I've already made a pledge that I will support the team through the good and bad times, otherwise what's the point of being a supporter?
  19. I agree too. I thought the whole idea is to support the team whether they win or lose. You've just got to believe in them and that they will do better if they've had a poor match.
  20. Just read that he scored his 132nd goal for the club at last night's match and that he's now level with Jimmy Greaves. What an achievement! If he surpasses 132 will that mean he's scored the most goals for the club?
  21. Sounds like you've got your hands full. Good luck to your daughter, is she looking forward to playing in her first match? Don't worry about not being able to post as much, i'm sure you'll be back soon KTBFFH
  22. O< thanks Alex. I'm sure i'll have more questions for you. Can you recommend any good sites, DVD's that I can look at to mug up on the game in general. I've got a sort of novice guide to football that I'm reading, I just need something that's concise and straight to the point. I've had a look at talkfootball.co.uk which has given me some ideas.
  23. Nah, not serious really, just wanted one to make me smile and lol
