  1. Well there you go, you can't always trust what you read in the Mail. Just looked on the official site and it says that Match against Tromso was in 1997. Yes, I agree we should have scored 10 and of course we had the chances to make it more. Saying that it's not every day that you see your team win 7-2 is it.
  2. Noticed in the programme for yesterday's game that it says that we have to supply photo id to get on the train from Euston It'll have to be my passport or I have a work pass. Is this the norm for the train as I've not had to produce photo id before when i've been on the coach?
  3. Congratulations mate, you thoroughly deserve this.
  4. As my holiday year at work runs starts on April 1st, i'm almost out of annual leave for this year and am now toying with the idea of getting a refund for Hull and getting a ticket for Everton away instead, which I would have thought would be the better match out of the two to go to....although judging by yesterday's performance of course anything can happen Decisions decisions...
  5. Just annoyed that it hasn't been sorted out. Come on Ron you know it makes sense to renew Joey's contract. Just offer him the £120,000 a week and let's be done with it, if that's what's going to clinch the deal for him to stay.
  6. Well reading today in the Mail it said that the last time we scored 7 goals was in 1960 against West Bromwich Albion - 7-1 - 3rd December. Yesterday has to be a match that will be released on to DVD don't you think?
  7. Absolutely blown away with that performance today, not sure how we can follow it. Man of the match has to be Nico. Will remember it for years to come and am proud to be able to say that I was there. :blue scalf:
  8. What a bummer, I was really hoping that it would be rescheduled for a Saturday or a Sunday.
  9. Classic, what a bunch of twats.
  10. Good to see that he is maintaining a good relationship with the squad. This shows that he can get the balance right between work and play which I think is very importatnt, particularly in the coming months.
  11. Manure 1 point behind us, need to put in cracking performance like we did against Watford.
  12. Just hope that a decision can be made soon, otherwise I can see us seriously losing him
  13. Been told that no buses will serve my village, despite the roads being clear for the bus route arghhh....First in work today which everyone thought was funny as I seem to have the most awkward journey in. Just hope no more comes down within the next couple of days as I have a ticket for Sunderland and do not want to make this my first home game that I have to miss.
  14. Togo withdraw from Africa Cup of Nations Africa Cup of Nations Venue and dates: Angola, 10-31 January Coverage: Final and semi-finals live on BBC TV, BBC World Service and commentaries on BBC Sport website. Live commentary on opening match on BBC World Service and BBC Sport website -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stunned Togo players in disbelief after attack Togo have pulled out of the Africa Cup of Nations following a deadly gun attack on their team bus in Angola. The coach driver was killed and two players were shot and injured in the attack in the northern province of Cabinda on Friday. Organisers insist the tournament will go ahead but Togo's players met later on Friday to discuss returning home. Team captain, and Manchester City striker, Emmanuel Adebayor said on Friday many players wanted to go home. He told BBC Afrique: "It's a football game, it's one of the biggest tournaments in Africa and a lot of people would love to be in our position but I don't think anybody would be prepared to give their life. You cannot sleep after what we have seen - one of your team-mates with bullets in his body in front of you, crying and losing consciousness Emmanuel Adebayor "If I am alive I can still play football tomorrow and in one year maybe even another Cup of Nations but I am not ready to pass away now. The driver of the Togo team bus was killed in the incident, while nine others were injured including two players, an assistant manager, physio, goalkeeping coach and another coach. Defender Serge Akakpo, who plays for Romanian club Vaslui, was hit by two bullets and lost a lot of blood in the attack in Angola's oil-rich territory of Cabinda, which is due to host seven matches. Adebayor said the players were unsure whether Akakpo would survive at the time, but his club reported that his condition was stabilised and he underwent successful surgery. Reserve goalkeeper Kodjovi Obilale, who plays for French club GSI Pontivy, was also wounded, while several other players required hospital treatment and were later seen with bandages on legs, hands and faces. "I don't think any of the players will be able to sleep after this," said Adebayor, who admitted they were all still in shock. "You cannot sleep after what we have seen - one of your team-mates with bullets in his body in front of you, crying and losing consciousness. It is very difficult." Togo were scheduled to play their first match in Cabinda against Ghana on Monday, with the tournament's opening match between hosts Angola and Mali on Sunday. Ghana players have confirmed they are happy for the tournament to go ahead. Souleymane Habuba, spokesman for organisers the Confederation of African Football (CAF), said the tournament would proceed despite the attack. "Our great concern is for the players, but the championship goes ahead," said Habuba, who questioned why Togo had elected to travel by road rather than flying. "CAF's regulations are clear: teams are required to fly rather than travel by bus," he added. Football's world governing body Fifa has expressed its concern about the attack. "Fifa and its president, Sepp Blatter, are deeply moved by today's incidents which affected Togo's national team, to whom they express their utmost sympathy," said a statement. "Fifa is in touch with the African Football Confederation (CAF) and its president, Issa Hayatou, from which it expects a full report on the situation." source - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/africa/8449611.stm
  15. Very shocking and agree that the tournament should be cancelled. Safety is paramount.
  16. Welcome to TalkChelsea :blue scalf:
  17. It made me laugh as Hull were very defiant earlier in the day that it would go ahead and they were going on about how much they were doing to make the surrouding areas safe.
  18. Just got a call from Thomas Cook about the match being postponed. Sad that it's been postponed, but know that we will be going to Hull at some point. Relived also, not having to trek through the snow to get to Fulham Broadway.
  19. Couldn't agree more and am sure that he will continue to impress during the remainder of this season.
  20. Well Thomas Cook are saying that it's still going ahead as I've had an itinnerary from them for the coach. The way things look at the moment, I'm not sure if I will be going anywhere.
  21. On the official site it says that Hull have never had to cancel a match for cold weather. There's always a first time.... I'm not very optimistic about the snow, and just hope it clears.
  22. I hope so too. I emailed the club and their response was that they will let the fans know the day before or on the day if the match is to be cancelled. Still snowing here in Surrey at the moment, fingers crossed it clears up soon.
  23. Well I was hoping the weather would get better by Friday at least. I'm starting to worry about Saturday as I will be travelling up by coach to the game.
